So how would you clean a Parking garage Correctly?

I'll teach garage cleaning when you teach coil cleaning.

If you are insinuating you need to be a garage cleaner to know how to comply with environmental laws you are mistaken.

I think I would be safe in assuming that there isn't a regulator in the country who has ever cleaned a garage, yet they teach it all time.
Yea and we know how most feel about regulators.... Industry contractors who want to make money off of the contractors but yet they never did what it is their teaching.. Is bogus. If there teaching a general Powerwashing class 101 for newbies is one thing but if there going to try to teach a specialized type class and they never did it... The bullshizz meter starts going off.

Face it, me teaching coil cleaning is like you teaching parking garage cleaning... Just wasting contractors hard earned money. Plus both topics are somewhat boring for a guy like you.. You need to do some comedy... "look kids" it's the Tony show.. Today Tony is going to teach you 8 yr olds how to fire a real gun-- kids reaction " Yea Tony is the bestest teacher ever" and if the kids are really good They can learn how to fire a bazooka and after that a 3"50 gun on an amphibious ship... Yeaaaaaaaaaa!!! Then when there 9 they get to fire the battleship guns...

Yrs later Tony becomes the oldest US president in history.. Yeaaaaaa and he becomes the first person to shoot someone like VP Chaney did when some guy pissed him off while Duck hunting... But Noooo Tony has to top that... So he has a duel with Condeleeza Rice and shoots her pocketbook right out of her hand...yeaaaaaa Tony, Tony , Tony!!!!

Lol..ok having fun...lights out for me. Have to be up in 5 hrs to catch my flight to NOLA..
Time to get away from the internet madness(smile)

Hey Nick how did you like doing the garage?? Was it worth it for the money paid?

I like doing them, but there hard to get down here for a good price.

Scott Stone is dealing with the parking garage aspect of environmental cleaning. We are all (from different regions) working together on the legal end and Jerry is helping with the mechanical end so that we can keep up with the latest technologies.

It takes more than just one person to come up with something that will be beneficial to our industry while at the same time making sure we aren't skewed by profit that may come to a vendor because of regulation.

We all want the vendors to make money, but vendors are there to help US do our jobs and help US do it faster and better than our competition. That is how an honest vendor makes money.

Regarding the other comments:

My kids are taught because they can't carry a cop around on their back. (they are way too heavy especially these days with the steroids and body armor)

First, there are garages that go way lower then 50 feet under ground. That is where you have to have the ability to remove the water, because it won't just evaporate fast enough to be effective.
I use hot water in garages with gas machine all the time. The biggest thing is Carbon Monoxide. You need to make sure that air is moving, and that the sensors are not going to go off. That is also a larger hazard with bigger heaters, and bigger machines. Small engines like most of us use are notoriously not environmentally sensitive. They spew more pollution in an hour then many cars do all day. It is crazy how inefficient they are, and continue to be.

Great post Scott, the emissions is changing. You know that , I just wonder how it will effect us?

I would be interested to know. I know that there are some people that have experimented with Propane, and it would likely be a very good fuel for parking garages, and to preserve the emissions. Far better then Diesel or gas. I do wonder about the cost effectiveness of using propane, however. It is not necessarily the most convenient fuel to use.

I have seen some videos on youtube where they converted small gas engines to run on propane but not sure if a bbq size tank will last all day or a full shift or not.

I know that propane has a lot less btu's than gas and diesel so I would think that you would lose some power in the engines some, maybe that will affect how the pressure washers run.

Easier ways to make money, but $.26 a sq. ft. is temping.

There is only one person that can get that kind of money regularly, he has never posted here that I am aware of.

The over heating solution will be available for attendees to use at the LV Event on March 27th.
