"Even though the sprayers use half the flow of a garden hose, the water shoots out at 3,000 pounds per square inch -- more than enough power to send the guy behind the hose flying"

Is all that pressure REALLY necessary? Why not use a mild cleaner and a low pressure rinse?

One reason they are probably worried about chem flyng for blocks away from the work and all the headaches they would here about

I can understand that. That is why I suggested a MILD cleaner. You don't clean your vehicle with only high temp, high pressure water, do you? I read once that the same process was used for Mount Rushmore. These are national monuments. Shouldn't they be cleaned, using the least amount of pressure as possible?

I've jumped from 12,000 ft while I was in the Navy and hung from rigs like those guys have on from 22 stories up inside a grease duct, for whatever reason, hanging from the rig is scarier than jumping out of a plane. I think the parachute gives you a false sense of security, where you aren't sure if those ropes are really going to hold. You would have to pay me a lot of money to do what those dudes are doing.

I am thinking that Spiderman should have been called.

I thought that the PPE of the tech was interesting, to say the least.

WOW. Like to see the look on their insurance company's face

Even the friggin rope rescue guys think they can powerwash.LOL

I guess they couldn't get real professional cleaners to do it.

I'm a certified rescue technician and I wouldn't repel off of that thing much less hang all day or night trying to clean it.I'm 2000 miles away and can smell all that money they are paying, hence they won't discuss price CHA-CHING
