Well, today/tonight was the maiden voyage of HotShot Hood and Duct Services blasting away with a foam machine. All I can say is (like Jim Carrey in Dumb & Dumber)"I like it a lot". It took a little while to get the ratio how I wanted it, but in the end---I was blowin some mad foam!!
Like Matt said on another thread, it's not the magic pill, but it will definitely get you lazy. Bofe exhaust systems that I cleaned I had done before and they turned out ok, but this time they were just so much cleaner. I take a lot of pride in my work and for over 2 years now, I've thought that I couldn't be outdone as far as quality....I think that I was wrong. (as long as I'm still doing the work) The foam just seemed to get in the crevises and nooks and crannys better.
Overall, once I get the system down, I think that it will make the job faster, but not by a whole lot. It took me longer on these two hoods, but I'm still trying to figure out my system.
Oh yeah, and the filters turned out spectacular.....and I noticed that I don't have to use near the water that I was using before.....Hope this helps anyone thinking of getting into some foaming action.
