Hi All... Nice site you have here.....I'm a Mech. Eng. thinking about starting up a part time P/W Business here in So. Calif. doing Mobil Homes & RV’s....I want to be a professional but at the same time I want to keep this simple…. My main concern right now is “Reclamation” Do I have to worry about the EPA and reclaiming my waste water?… Is there chemicals I can use that I won’t have to worry about this? I also would like advise on “Spot free Rinse” Any help will be appreciated…..Thanks

P.S. Hope this posts

I am thinking that as for the investment of doing this part time, I would look for the competition, and see what thier charging. This way you would know if it is even worth the investment to start the indevore. With that being said, I would guess that there is an EPA restrictions in CA, but you can call the EPA and request information. Besides that, there are bio degradable soaps you can use, just do a search on it. I find that Simple Green works well for that kind of application. Plus you can get a good dilution ratio on it to help on soap expenses. As for reclaiming the waste, again the EPA can give you info on that. I found that washing car lots was not as profitable as I had thought, so I basically gave over the accounts to a new company, and was happy to do so. Hope this was helpful.

You need to contact Jon, Kendra, or Trevor about the California laws. Actually, Jon is your most likely response. California is its own little paradise:rolleyes:

I'm out in "paradise" to, about 40 minutes northwest of you. I started out in this business doing exactly what you're thinking about doing but it was a long time ago, and I washed Mobile Homes with great success for a few years before moving into fleets. Call me on my cell when you have the time and I'll help you out (805-750-6423). And yes, chances are you're going to have to reclaim your water.

Thanks Rob, Scott and Chuck..... You all answered my question. I now know reclaiming is mandatory and also can be inexpensive which is what I was trying to figure out. How to do this inexpensively for mobil homes is another question.

Mr Alan..Thanks for the email
