I bought a trailer rig several weeks back and it came with a PP chem. pump set up. Chem pump is a Comet MC-18 3 gpm 220 psi that seems to need rebuilding ($190.00)

I would really feel better with a pump that puts out a least 5 gpm.

Is there another pump out there that would be better to replace this one? If so where is it at, website?

I use an All-Flo pump and I really don't think I would ever want anything else, but then again, this is all I have ever used. I do like the fact that I can change the spray tip from high flow to low flow and not have to do anything to the pump. It has been trouble free for a couple of hundred hours this year.

Keep the frame and motor put a John Blue pump

Guy, take my word for it. That comet pump is the BIGGEST POS going. I had one and all I did was sink $$'s into it and babysit it. Pull it off and chuck it.

Guy, about the only other option you have is a Udor Zeta 40E/GR. It's rated 10.5 gpm, 300 psi. Call me if you need pricing, but it'll probably scare you back to Cometland.

Guy, take my word for it. That comet pump is the BIGGEST POS going. I had one and all I did was sink $$'s into it and babysit it. Pull it off and chuck it.

Yea that Udor is pretty expensive, but I don't mind paying for quality equipment that fits my needs. 10.5 gpm is way more than I need even though I know that Udor gpm is adjustable. Just overkill for my needs.

I don't do a whole lot of roofs, but am setting up chem pumps on both trailers. Wonder if I should just chunk this set up and put in a 12v set up?

The zeta comes in handy for lots of things. I use it to transfer Chems alot. I love my zeta

If your not doing a lot of roofs, I'd go 12v.
