Surface Cleaner on Asphalt?

One of my restaurant accounts I service every two weeks. Today the manager said his DM asked if I could clean the asphalt next to the sidewalk that leads from their side door to the dumpster. The asphalt area would be about 30ft X 4ft.

Has anyone tried to clean asphalt with a surface cleaner? I know of course that you can't use heat on it.

What kind of stains are you trying to remove?
Just wand it if you are only pushing dirt. if you are removing oil stains or grease use warm water and light pressure. Ive only had to remove oil from the center of the parking space. The dirt just sticks to the oil and it looks dirty. hope this helps. Post some pics (you know what the guys are gonna ask for)

Ran a number of tests in my neighborhood knowing that it would be resurfaced the same week... Also worked with some guys with 25+ years experience - notmuch you really can do with asphalt.

Nothing really positive came out of it... Hot or cold. It simply chips up with too much time and doesn't look any cleaner.

I have seen where guys have used kitty litter for oil stains on asphalt...

It's grease stains going the path they walk to the dumpsters. Black and dirty. I'll try the surface cleaner set at around 80 degrees or so. The area is to the left of the dumpster pad in the pic. I don't have a pic of just the area i'm talking about...

if your trying to clean the black part it looks like black concrete to me
The pad outside of the dumspter pad is black concrete. The asphalt area in question starts to the left of that pad.
