surface cleaner repair

The pressure coming out of my surface cleaner is somehow lower than usual. I switched pw`s and still the lower pressure. I tried a different gun with no luck. Could it be the bar or in the cleaner rotary head?

It is a BE 20 inch.

I turn it on its side and hold the bar to see if the tips are clogged but they appear to be clear. It is possible maybe something is clogging up the bar.

Spray is coming from both nozzles and the bar turns. The pressure is just coming out to low to be of any use.

When I attach a wand to the same hose the pressure is fine.

It all started after my help greased to rotary head. I took it apart but there was no excess of grease.
I am starting to think the grease went into the bar and clogged it up like hair in a drain
.

you should take the bar off the surface cleaner, remove the spray tips, look inside the tips, and also take some pipe cleaners and run through the spray bar to see if there is anything inside of it like grease. That will give you a starting point

have one of those in the garage and it clogged up with rust from the end of the hose. take the tips off and cleanem out. tips may be bad too. greasing the swivel should not clogg it up. i have greased mine up hardcore and it should come out of the bottom bearing. put it through extreme heat and still works fine.I also had a tip break off once. i hit a rock on an edge and came into the sc and made a nice tune.

Make sure you dont have water seeping from the weep hole

I will be tearing into the bar a bit more tomorrow.

I had the heat on after greasing it but the pressure still was low. It was working until it was greased.

Russ is right, water will come out of the weep hole,,,,there is a seal in the head....it probably bad or gone.time to rebuild or replace...call Russ from southside equipment....he normally has them in stock....at a good price..

Lower PSi is because of a leak. Maybe the nozzles are warn slightly, change those first. The arms could have a small leak as well, then go to the union.

I cleaned out the bar with some CLR and hot water. There was barely any water getting through from my faucet before I cleaned it and free flowing after. One of the nozzles was party clogged. I cleaned out the old grease and put in some new. After it was all said and done it worked properly when I test it.

I still plan on getting new parts to repair it properly. It does work for now with the band aid on it.
