Surface Cleaner(s)

I wouldnt buy mine at northern tool, its 300 bucks cheaper because its cheaper quality than Bobs. Spend the money get an exellant surfacer and leave northerns for the wannabes and flybynighters.
Just my 2cents

I whole heartedly agree with RLS.We have a 16" whirl-a-way that has been a good unit but it is way undersized for big jobs.We also have a 30" steel eagle that I am working on getting fixed that will make our commercial jobs a lot easier.
I know several guys that use whisper wash "big guys" and speak very highly of them.

Surface Cleaner

Hmm .. Lets see I built my own..It''s 22 inches..
I also have an adjustable Alladin which is a steel eagle..

The 30 inch steel eagle works good... adjusted all the way down , but as wide as it is you have to walk really slow or it will streak.

The Homemade surface cleaner works just as good if not better I can walk much faster and get no streaks ..

The wider the surface cleaner the slower you have to walk. Or so I have been told.

As far as Northern tool products,, They lie about there swivel rateings... There customer service sux... and don't even think about returning stuff.

You got pics of the under belly, or what ever they call it. The one I got now , works ok. I do mostly residential work, and have only been in the business part time for 2 years. But i'm ready for some better equipment. And more work.

John, how many hours do you have invested?

Well if you take all the mistakes I made .. As I listed all the junk I tried First before finally using the 55 gallon metal drum bottom probably about 2 days... If I would have just used the metal drum bottom first .. and had the swivel on hand.. Probably 3 1/2 hours.

The metal Drum is still a little flexible so i think I am Going to use a crawfish boiling Pot.. It measures 20 inches round instead of 22 inches.. But the Pot is made of heavy grade stainless steel instead of just light guage metal..

I got to bust out my buddy's plasma cutter for this one....
