Surface Cleaners, Wheels or no Wheels?

Time for me to replace my 18 inch surface cleaner.
I've never owned a SC with brush base rather than wheels.

Which do you prefer?

Thanks.

I prefer the surface cleaners with tires also, 24" and 28" for either machine.

I like the Classic for areas with lots of obstacles, it can get under a lot of things easily.

It just comes down to personal preference and what your pressure washer will drive.

What size of surface cleaner are you going to get?

What are the gpm's and psi of your machine?

You need to match up the gpm's of your machine to the size of the surface cleaner.

If you are thinking of a surface cleaner with casters, think again, a little rock or something will stop the caster and mess you up.

If you are thinking of a surface cleaner like the big guy but only have 4gpm's, I would think again.

There have been a lot of posts about this, don't make a mistake and get a surface cleaner that is more than what your pressure washer can push.

I have a 24" surface cleaner that has 4 caster wheels, I will be removing the back 2 and adapting tires to the back like on a Big Guy and adding a solid handle like the Big Guy.

Sure is nice to have so many different types of surface cleaners out there, all kinds to do the job.

I like both.. the brush ones are good for corners - just a little tilt and no wand needed.
But like Russ said after miles of sidewalks the arms get tired.

Brushes also let you go in any direction. I am going to make something that "snaps" into place on a brush one and makes it wheels.

David, looks like we think alike on some things. I am working on some plans for something similar but for a different purpose, a different market.
