Syllabus Week for Apex

Please explain to me the less hoses part when using the X-Jet. I have used an X-Jet every other year for almost 10 years and with the X-Jet you have a container with soap with you, a hose from it to the gun and the pressure hose.

When you downstream you leave the soap container at the truck/trailer and only have the pressure hose with you.

I don't see how you have less hoses by using the X-Jet which involves using a hose to send chemical to the pressure gun.

When he says less hoses I think he means there is no roof spraying hose plus pressure hose. Now he just has the pressure hose to clean with.

@Dan- call me and I will explain down streaming to you and how its better than xjetting.

Take him up on that, if you like xjetting you'll love down streaming.

He said earlier that he was using a roof pump to apply soap and only rinsing with the pw.

I can't stand my x jet. Yes I use it once or twice a year but I haven't ran into too many homes that a good mix ds would not take care of.

Same thing here, I use the X-Jet about once every 2 years or so. I just looked at it in the garage a month or so ago and saw the the QC plug totally rusted so I removed it but the orifice inside it also rusted out so I have to order one so I can use it if/when needed.

I did not see that he mentioned using the roof pump to wash houses, now I understand what he was saying about less hoses. Thanks.

I think it is a good idea to show him how to downstream, most of us that downstream might have to hit a bad spot maybe twice then move on. Not many houses I have needed the X-Jet on in the past 10 years or so. It is nice in some areas where you might need a stronger mix, it is good for that but I hate dragging the container/bucket around the house/building with me.

It is just another tool to get the job done. If you prefer the X-Jet to wash houses and buildings then that is your personal choice, there are many ways to wash houses and buildings, some prefer the X-Jet, some like to downstream, some like to still use a bucket and brush and some like to just blast away using a pressure washer at full pressure, go check out youtube for those guys bragging how much pressure they are using on houses and other surfaces no matter how many pro's and experts out there instruct them not to do so, to each their own. I just hope that some of those guys out there get insurance so the homeowner is protected, damage is still happening all around the country.

Anyone near me can come by and I will be more than happy to go out with them and show the advantages of the X-Jet. When I was still cleaning, people from all over would go out on jobs with me. After they saw how efficient it was they always purchased one. I took the guess work out of mixing the chemicals with formulas I established.

And when used with a dual lance wand, you can really dial in the PSI you use the XJet with. I too have sold many after people have seen them in action. An advantage to the Xjet is that they keep the cuastic out of your hp hoses and guns. I also like downstreaming, especially when working with a non-caustic cleaner. Both, as mentioned prior have their advantages.

Caustic corrosive they all have an 8 on them. Each there on the only advantage to xjet is you can get the product to the surface more concentrated. You can also do that with a roof pump jack lol.
