The garden hose you use, how long, what connections?

I use a garden hose I bought at home depot years ago. I think I only paid $40 for it. It is the best I've ever used. Its not too hard, it's light weight, never kinks, and it has plastic connections on it. It is somewhere from 100-150 Ft long. I can't remember. But I LOVE the plastic connecters. Give a much better seal then the aluminum or brass and easy to get on and off. Also they retain their shape forever, unlike the metal ones.

Mine is 110' long and has been in use since April 1999. it has a plastic connection where it meets the spigot, and the connector is about five inches long so you can grip it with your whole hand to hook it up.........it works great. It came with my trailer from Delco Cleaning Systems.
 
We have 300' on our reel.

This is in 50' sections of 3/4" hose with full flow brass fittings.

The hose is a heavy black rubber blend rated up to 200 psi.

Originaly wanted it in 100' lengths but they were out of it when I ordered. Prefer the 50' length now.

All of our equipment is portable and stored in an enclosed dual axle trailer. We do not use a water tank. Works best for us right now.

We also have 1 each of 4',8', and 20' sections of 3/4" red contractors hose we made up with the full flow brass fittings.

We also try and use the shortest run of hose possible all times.

The black hose is stored on a large fire hose reel. It is always wiped cleaned when rewinding. We pickup the hose by the fittings and bring it to the reel. Takes a little longer but reduces wear from concrete and asphalt.

A full flow 3/4" pvc tee is also used at times. This has three shut off valves on it.

I purchased the hose on the net. Cost was around $180.

Been using the black hose for around 14 months. Shows very little wear. Used 5/8" black hose before this. Had some flow problems on long runs and changed to 3/4". No more problems.

Same as BEYoung, we use 3/4 inch black rubber hose. 50 and 75 foot lengths, use the least amount possible, and heavy brass fittings.
 
I have 150' of the commercial 3/4 from Home Depot, never had a bit of trouble. Got it in 99.

I may end up going with something like that...The heavy hose is nice for durability, but when I have to drag out 200-300', it gets damn heavy. The only problem I may have with Home Depot grade hose is that I often find myself in areas where I have no choice but to run my hose where it gets run over on a regular basis, sometimes by heavy trucks...the Goodyear hose has no problem with that, but the lower grade hose may.
 
5/8" by 50' medium duty Swan brand, brass connections for the portable cold water units.

3/4" 75' lengths red super heavy duty from Lowes for the hot water unit.
 
Goodyear, 100' with brass connections. This hose is so tough that I dount that i wil need to replace it anytime soon. It gets run over all the time even by sweepper trucks.
Not a nick in it yet. I also have 150' of some no name hose just in case I need more.
I rely on my pressure hose for distance from the machine, rather than garden hose for distance from the spigot. Can be mighty hard to get my trailer where I need it to go sometimes.

Same hose I use...the only leak I've had in it was when it accidentally draped across the muffler and burned a hole in it...It will last a long long time. My only complaint is the weight of it when I have to drag out all 300' or so of it. Problem with lighter hose is that it doesn't take too well to being run over by heavy garbage trucks and dump trucks, etc, and in many condo neighborhoods I'm running hoses across the road quite often.
