Trex deck cleaning

My friend installed a trek deck couple years back. Never covering the deck they did hardscaping wall surrounding the deck which the cutting and building it of course created dust and debri. The workers then constantly walking the deck rubbing and scuffing the deck probably isn't good. After rinsing off the deck was left cloudy. Three times he asked me to pressure wash which I used house wash mix and still looked the same. I repeated three more times last year for him and wants me to do it again. Customer is unhappy with him and I think it's because it didn't get covered that hazed the surface but he keeps telling customer not his fault. So he doesn't have to replace it Iam assuming. He said he talked to trex deck people and they said use muratic acid this time. I said I'll try it but I want email from them confirming this process. Has anyone heard of this way, perhaps any other ideas or same situations. Also is there a sealer that might work. I don't mind keep going back and him paying me because it's not on me but would like to rectify this correctly and end this repeated circle of stupid.
