Maybe Ronnie or Scott have a Solution

Once you get the rims clean some wheels will do this and it will appear out of the blue like a ghost. When this happens just mist the affected area with the acid and rinse quick.

And FIND SOME HF! Sulfuric is not the best acid for acid washing.

The acid is reacting with the steel lugs. You can flash with the acid like they say but then neutralize it right away with a alkaline soap and stop the reaction so after you rinse it does not come back with the residue that was not rinsed off.

i was bummed when i went to my local supplier. they had hf not too long ago but they switched on me. i went online on my phone looking to get some shipped. i just couldnt stomach $75 in shipping alone for 5 gallons

paul, i tried. is strike force not strong enough to neutralize it? i tried 3-4 times and kept getting the same result.

It does get them off every time. but like kiloman said, they just pop up like a ghost. looks like crap
