Venting Chem Tank

Planning on 150 Gal PCO tank and pulling from the top. The one I am looking at has a 12" vented lid. http://www.tank-depot.com/Drawings/Ace/A-PCO150-37W.pdf

Do you think this venting through the lid provides enough escape for CIDER, which I understand fumes more than SAUCE, or is there some other venting that I need to build in.

Tried to search, but didn't see anything specifically on venting.

I had a cap once..... I leave it off. Just mix what you need. I run around empty all the time! Mix on the job site!

You should probably have a cap on your tanks to keep debris out if nothing else. Also just looks more like you've got it together. Do you drain your tanks on the job site,...impossible to calculate so precisely for every job as to empty the tank as you're finishing up the roof.

We use a vented cap, works fine :)

Cool. Thanks for confirming

For plumbing from the top I was thinking about doing a retrofit through the cap to the PVC feed pipe, but then that's always in the way when filling/mixing.

What are others doing?
