So how about the home owner who calls you takes up lots of your time talking about the last guy who was a painter/pressure washer roof cleaner who causes all kinds of roof leaking issues & broken tiles, and how she had to track him down to get him to pay for the damage he did. So she wanted someone who knew how to safely clean her roof, who also is insured.. So i give her a quote set a day to come out (yesterday) but i had got a call saturday with her rambling telling me all sorts of nonsense asking me for my price again not ever asking could i work with her on a price just going out to find the cheapest guy to do it, which its probably best i didn't end up with the job because i'm sure there will be some issues with her roof leaking or something else she woulda try to pin on me. Anyways I know its part of this business and its happend to all of us just felt like getting it off my chest might help me feel better?

Oh well i might have mentioned this i drove by today and saw it being done with his surface cleaner full blast max pressure probably if it was leaking before i'm sure its gonna start soon. maybe not though..

looks like i'm the rambling fool now.. :confused:

Good to get it off your chest. Yup, there's lot of them out there that like to waste our time. I guess they feel like our time is worth nothing...

My most recent one was...Mr. Anderson, I am so and so and we just built a Dollar General not too far from you. I need a quote for cleaning the pavement parking lot and the concrete walkways around the building and by the way "it's not that bad", I need it done Monday morning and how much will it be? Nothing about there are blue chalk lines all over the parking lot, red clay the entire area and oil spots in front of the main entrance on both the pavement and the concrete.

After going there, measuring, figuring and calling her back that evening, I get the voicemail of the women and left her the price...must have scared the Holy h... out of her. She never called back!

Hang in there, they are getting smarter all the time.

Those are the times when you need to take pictures or video of how the hacks are damaging property and the wrong way to do things.

I would have taken pictures for a page on the website to show people the wrong way to do things or how damage happens.

I only clean roofs Brooks, dont own no pressure washer.
Never had the pleasure to work nights.
I just FISH at night on Tampa Bay.
Love to get me some Fiddler Crabs, and fish under the Skyway Bridge :)
Big Tarpon, Cobia, and Drum.
I hooked something under the bridge once SOO Big it spooled me!

nice fish bro. :) I used to work in port tampa, and port of tampa unloading fuel tanker ships/barges.. anyways those docks are infested with snook like 30+ chillin under the dock..

8lb test, 30lb liter.. glup shrimp.. all night

You get a 30 lb Snook on bro, you got a fight on your hands.
They can easily spool you :(
 
We lost a few tarpon or goliath groupers out at the Skyway last weekend.
They dont play,, no nibbles, just gigantic strikes, and broken lines.OL
Watched a guy fight a Tarpon for 1/2 an hour too.

I have noticed a LOT of cleaners are Fishing nutts :)

I farm it out. Can't stand degreasers and gum at 3am.
Did gas stations and a eatery chain for a year while I was working as a pro.
I couldn't give em away fast enough, not for me.

Passed up on over 60 steak and shakes last year. You can have it.

Fished snook season as much as I could this year. No keepers.
Last week I pulled a 25 red out and a few nice fat trouts.
If I have free time from work/family I'm either in the flats or on the golf course.

ok ok you guys are killing me now....gonna throw up some of my pics here in a few...lol

I wish the damn wind would stop for a day so I can get off-shore...this is prime time!
