Vision Board

I created a new vision board for my company today, anyone else use vision boards?

A vision board is basically pictures similar to a collage of things you want to have in the future for your company. It helps you keep your eye on what you need to grow and remember what your goals are and therefore think of ways to achieve them.

Whats funny is it actually works. Everything on my old vision board was completed so now I am moving onto new pictures and a new vision board. This website briefly explains it and there are many others: https://christinekane.com/how-to-make-a-vision-board/

My new vision board has a Sirocco and newer fleet of sweepers and so on...

You guys should try it out!

Great idea Ty, thanks for suggesting it.

Here's my first lesson in life this works, Danny White came to practice when in Jr. Highschool , our Dave Mendez payed ball with him in Highschool. Danny was a dallas cowboy, I hate the cow boys but loved Landry. He pitched us a talk about visioning the ball was in the receivers hands. He visualized winning constantly.

It's something mentors like zig Tony and many other motivational speaker Talk about. Something as simple as throwing a photo of a car on the fridge to remind you.

It works , i don't think you even have to believe in it. Just try it, it's will help you keep focused on the goals if nothing else.

Ty really good subject , you have to visualize success to achieve it.

Been using visualization since high school.

It works theres no doubt. People who don't believe in visualization, have no vision.

That's cool. I remember coaches having us visualize making plays back then.

I believe in visualization 100%. I have long been reading about them and thinking about creating one and its probably time I started my own vision board. Some of the stories that I have heard over the years relating to their success have been remarkable. One story I remember was from renown internet marketer John Assaraf discovering he was actually living in the very same house he had on his vision board. I mean that is so remarkable it is completely unbelievable, however I truly believe in its power and I have absolute faith in John Assaraf.
Great story Ty good luck with your new goals.

If you are able to visualize something, it is so much easier to see the steps that are necessary to make it happen. What is frustrating to me is trying to see what my next goal is to achieve. That is always a good frustration.

Great tip. Thanks Ty.

We set this up not too long ago.

Great topic Ty. I'm disappointed in myself that I did not do this myself for my business. As a former college coach, I hammered this stuff into my athletes' heads. Besides the physical training aspect, we used goal setting, visualization and some other tricks to train the mind. If you think about it, building a business has a lot of similarities to training an athlete.

Ty's all over it, good to see someone hustling like Ty

Thanks Ron, that is a real compliment coming from you...

I'm glad the rest of the board likes this post too, it is a great thing to do, helps you keep focused for sure. I would post my vision board up here but I want my vision to stay my vision... haha

We made something like a vision board 8 years ago. We accomplished or acquired everything on the board ending with our trip last year around the country.

While it was somewhat satisfying, it still feels a little empty. Our next board is going to be visions of things we'd like to accomplish within ourselves. I suspect that will be little more challenging. We're also going to make a board for business goals with two options, one being if the economy becomes stable, the other if the economy collapses.

We should have had two boards in the first place and we would have been better prepared for the events of 2008-2010.

Come on Ty share a little...

I will. A secondary goal of mine is to move to a shop that is 6" longer, so we don't have to unhook every day. lol

I didn't see this thread until it got bumped last night.

Yes Ty, please share now that you've totally dominated the Phoenix area.

Please give us your "old" outline, because i would just be happy to be where you were 2 yrs. ago!

Before anyone chimes in on this comment, I definitely don't dominate any market nor do I think I do, but I bust my A$$ everyday to try to grow my company larger...

And although it is tempting I don't want to show off my vision board because my new one I have mixed personal visions in with business visions and it has my future house, boat, car, and vacation home in Puerto Rico! haha Don't want you guys stealing it! haha

But I will say this, my vision board is just a tack board that I printed everything the company needs, and where I want the company to be at, and pictures of the things I want in life and words of the things I want out of life. There is a big Love and Happiness printed too.

It took me all night to print everything and I had to run to walmart at 3am to get new ink for my printer. But when my wife woke up in the morning and came into my office she was like WOW!

I dont dominate my market, but I dont do too bad in my niche.
Scary part of vision boards is that the house I have always coveted is for sale. The trick is going to be getting my wife go for it.
