Warranty roof cleaning

How much of your roof cleaning is paid for by the customer's warranty?

How much of your roof cleaning is paid for by warranty companies? Do you market that the warranty companies will pay for it? If so, how? I've been thinking of advertising it on our website that it is an option. If they dont have to pay for it, its less likely for them to shop around. What do you think?

Who warranties roof contaminants? You mean insurance? or the shingle manufacturer??? :confused:

I mean the shingle manufacturer. We have done 2 for warranty work, paid for by the manufacturer. All they required was before and after pictures. The first customer actually submitted 2 bids to the company, and mine was higher (almost double). But she liked us better, so I lowered my bid to beat the other by like $50, and she paid me the rest out of pocket. The second one, we just did yesterday (first day with the new trailer), and the customer paid me, but said they were being re-imbursed by the manufacturer. Seems like it would be a good selling point. But I don't know:eek:
 
I have had several customers call me about warranty. I have to assume they bought the 5 year shingles that were resistant to mold. LOL Resistant to and warrant no mold are 2 different things.
 
I dont know. I have had them approach me with it. That is my goal with this is to figure it out.
 
We have cleaned a bunch. Tamko is easy to work with GAF sucks. Gaf wants to prorate the shingle and only pays a %. Some Tamko singles are warranted to stay algae free for 10 years and they will pay 100% of the cleaning. We charge .30 a sqft and they will pay all of it. They want pics 2 shingles sent to them to verify that it is theirs the original paper work and they even pay $200.00 to swap the shingles. We have tried running it in ads with no success. When we get a call for a estimate and the shingle dose not look that old you can start a pitch there. Easy to close a deal when it is free to the costumer.

Oh and I forgot they dont want the roof pressure washed. Got to use low pressure chemical rinse.
