What about Delco hot water machines?

Hello Everybody.

I want to purchase a hot water unit.
I have heard that Landa is the best. I can not afford them.
I was thinking of buying a hot box, but for a little more I could get a hot water machine.

I want at least 5gpm, 3500 psi and 190 degrees.

I am thinking of the RK-43 from Delco. How is their service and tech support.

This brings up another issue. They are in Texas . I am in N.C. If something goes wrong I suppose they can talk me through a repair. I have established a good relationship with a local dealer/repair shop-Cleaning Systems of the Carolinas. I want to remain loyal to them, but I can not afford a unit from them.

If you have a unit from Delco, please tell about your experience. I do houses and am starting flatwork.
Thanks for the great spirit and knowledge

Well Scott,
I have a Delco Equalizer unit, and though a lot of people recommended against it, I haven't had a problem with it yet. I bought it used and it had a 100 hours on it. I have put on another 175 hours and have had no problems with it. I also have a lakota that I bought brand new, and have had nothing but problems with it. So I guess you have to weight all the choices. I know use my Delco as my main machine, and the Lakota I use as a back up, at least until I can unload this piece of junk on someone else.

I have two Delco machines, and have nothign but great luck with them. They no longer sell the machines that I have, but I know that they custom spec all of the machines that they sell, so I am sure that they are a quality machine.
As for the tech support, I have heard a very few people say negative things about them, but quite honestly, I have nothing but positive to say, and have been thrilled with the help that they have given me. At least when they don't know what to say, and there are times that they don't because I only call them with something really off the wall and bizarre, they tell me they don't know,a nd ask me to call them back if I figure it out.

Scott,
I own a Delco unit and couldn't be happier. I certainly could have paid more, though. We went out there to pick the unit up to save the freight costs and also to take advantage of the training opportunities. I highly recommend spending some time with Robert and company. They are highly knowledgeable folks.

I have five RK-21 machines. All of them are from Delco. Four of them still run every day. The other has become a donor. Many thousands of hours on each.

Their customer service is second to none.

See ya,
Rick

We have about 26 units, about 6 of them are Delcos. I wouldn't buy from anyone else. Best unit for the money...and then some. Service is great, and they are easy to repair and service in-house.

Hello Everybody,

Thank you for the incredible input. I have had a financial setback so I will not be able to get a Delco or any hot water unit at this time. I am going with an Alkota hot box through a local distributor who will help me set it up and repair when needed. I had the wind taken out of my sail. However; there is always another strong breeze in the future. At least I will have hot water. This will enable me to do work I could'nt with only cold water. It is propane too. I know that is expensive, but I could not afford a generator etc... I f I were to purchase all of that I could buy a hot water machins

Thanks Again,

Scott

I'd like to copy and paste Scott's post and put my name under it. I also have two delco machines, RK-24's to be exact, and I have had similar experiences. They have had their minor issues along the way, but nothing out of the ordinary. Local dealers have worked on them from time to time without issue.
