What is the best hose to use from tank to pump?

After the filter of course. My 1" ID braided tubing is getting crimped because I disconnect the tube from the pump when I travel. Is that not a good practice? I need a more flexible solution. Also, I'm using a garden quick connect. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Why do you disconnect? Also, I'm no expert, but my guess would be that your quick connect diameter is making that nice 1" of flow redundant as it has to squeeze through the much smaller coupler...?

I use a 1" braid tank to filter, then more 1" to a 1" cam-lock where I can disconnect to drain the line, fill a bucket from the holding tank or blow air through the pump in winter.

1" spiral flex hose and cam lock connectors.

What's your reason to disconnect during travel? I would think doing that would allow air to enter the line and make it harder to prime at start up.
Pipe it in and get rid of the garden hose connectors. Do that and you should be fine.

I mentioned that to you when I first saw that CL.
The diameter of the qc is smaller than the diameter of the hose, making the supply entry smaller than the one incher.

I got sick of having to replace the braided clear hose as it would weather and have no flexibility. I switched to multi purpose rubber hose and have never looked back. Some complain about not being able to see the water, I have never had issues even when I have run the tank out. What ever hose you use, put in 1 inch cam locks though to keep your flow and volume up.

1 inch non collapsing line. I wouldn't disconnect between jobs, and never have since I have had a water tank. I also would not worry about seeing the water. Your seals should not be burned in the time it takes for uh to walk from the gun to the machine to turn it off.

The inlet to the pump is only 1/2". I have a vinyl 1/2" mpt x 1" hose barb fitting I'll use.

I disconnected because of the bumpy ride. I've re-secured my pw unit with u bolts through the floor. I'm sure it won't move.
