what to use on stucco?

I did an estimate for a house wash today. It has a fake stucco siding. I have done one stucco house before and used my usual cleaner which is M-1 house wash with some bleach in it. M-1 is a sodium hydroxide base. Does anyone have anything in particular they use for stucco?

soudium hypoclorite and some good soap

You may need upwards of 4% sodium hypochlorite hitting the wall. Use a synergistic scrubbing caustic such as sodium metasilicate. Depends on how dirty it is. When its very nasty you have to use 300-400 psi, 150 degree rinse. Watch transitions around windows and corners. Charge double what you normally charge for a vinyl wash.

Russ,
you said sod hypo and good soap. I am brand new. I have a soft wash rig...125 gal chem tank and 65 gal water tank....I bought the rig from a guy that decided he wanted to do someting else. I have washed several houses with great success based on how the guy said to use the rig. I have an electric pump with a knob on top that reads from 1 to 5. Set on 1 for house wash and 1 1/2 to 2 for roof wash. I have two questions??? 1.How do I determine what my ratio of sod hypo to water is? 2.I have seen multiple posts about adding saop to your sod hypo to make it stick and it cleans better...how much and what type of soap do I add to my chem tank?

in reference to what Ken was saying , you need a minimum of 4% I use 5 to 6 percent , why ? more chem to do the work and also we have a different environment here and mildew has a longer grow season and it is harder to kill

I dont know what your knobs do , you should probably ask the guy you bought it from , I have a good idea but I dont want to tell you wrong , they are more than likely some sort of pinch valves

I premix my mixture and apply it directly

Post some pictures of your rig and we might be able to help you more.

You guys haven't hit truly dirty stucco or dryvit yet.

Come down to south Louisiana.
They don't call until it starts blending in with the swamp.
4-6% Love and plenty of Simple Cherry will usually cut it.

You just have to watch out as it will try to grab you and not let you go.
