Its appears to be related to your car door lock and/or alarm.
If you look to your right about 4 feet there should be a hinged door to a compartment (glove box) and within it you should be able to find the owners manual. uttahere:

Take it to your local Advanced Auto or Orielly and ask them to run the diagnostics on it. Like Grant said, it probably has to do with the security on the car, but sometimes those indicator lights are tied to multiple sensors and such, so it could be a variety of issues.

IF you have a coded key it may need to be reprogrammed or get a new key. We used to get those problems on cars when I used to work at the dealership.

Like mentioned above you should be able to take it to an oriley or napa and have them run a code on it. Most times they will reset it for you as well. or you may be able to reset it yourself with some turn key and push on petal sequence. It should be listed in your owners manual on how to reset it if you can do it that way.

If it was a 6.0 the only help is an engine swap. ha. Cost my friend $9,000 before he traded.

I had an injector problem but I found an oil addative that took care of it in 30 min and haven't lookrd back since!

Ron, I think it is the security system and the light blinks continuously every 20 seconds or so whenever the car is parked. When you drive, the system turns off. Have this same light blinking on my Ford and the wife's Explorer. Don't worry, it's not burning any gas.

The light never Blinked before, you know when I re entered the door code correctly it stopped.

SO this means someone was possibly watching me enter the code and trying to break in. NICE

USing remote from here out....I have my iphone hooked to the car and changed it so I was using the entry on door for the last week and apparently that was the issue.
