I wanted to see who you liked for the Super Bowl. ME I am a huge Bears fan always have been always will be one no matter if they stink or are kickin some boottie like they are this year. My Pick is the Chicago Bears all the way. Lets hear the war of words now.

GO BEARS!!!!!:D

You mean that the Cards aren't in it... again????

Unfortunatly it will probably be the Rams. I wouldn't mind seeing the Bears or the Packers win even though they are my team's rivals. Go Vikings:D

come on guys we all know that PITTSBURG STELLERS has it in the bag...............just waite and see.

Since my NY JETS are eliminated(New they wouldn't go far) I would say the Rams have to be the favorite. They have a killer offense with a pretty decent defense. With that in mind I would have to pick the Ravens. Why? Because there defense is just starting to wake up. They should have shut out Miami in Miami.

So if there defense stays awake they will get to the Super Bowl and they will put a hurtin on Kurt Warner or whomever else they play.

John clean county,

I tell you what......you choose the stakes and if the ravens are so fortunate as to make it to the superbowl to play my Rams, we'll bet on it!! That would make it fun, I grew up in StL and been miserable every since i moved to Nashville (these people actually think the titans are good). We are in the glory years for our team and i cant even enjoy it!!!

Let's all be honest; the rams were tough to beat when they just had an OFFENSE, and now we have one of the top defenses?!?! What chance does a team have?? The only team we dont match up well with is out (tampa).

Why dont you colorado guys like the broncs??

You people that are for the bears.......what are you going to tell me next??? The Cubs are going to win the division??? LOL, since none of you guys were probably born before 1908, i'll go ahead and tell you that winning world series is a very nice feeling, if you'd ever like to experience that feeling you are welcome to move to st. louis for a while.

ok, dish it back........

You guys take care,

Jon

I'm still whinin about my Yankees gettin beat by the Diamondbacks... But it looks like St Louis is unbeatable to me.

Jon Fife,
I'm sure St.Louis is a nice place with a rich history. Stan the Man, Lou Brock, Bob Gibson etc. And now of course Kurt and Marshall from the Rams. But lets put everything in the proper prespective.

Everyone knows the Rams came from L.A. The old ST. Louis Cardinals(Now Arizona) couldn't win a championship if there life depended on it. As far as the Cardinals yea they won 9 World series but only one in the last 35 or so years.

So break this down for the last 35 yrs. Football championships 1 (From the LA Rams) Hockey championships 0, Basketball do they even have a team? Baseball 1.

Chicago had Micheal Jordan...enough said.

As for my New Yorkers Lets see... Yankees at least 6 world series, the Mets 2 world championships, In basketball the knicks 2 world championships, Hockey the Islanders 4 championships and the Rangers 1. And football the Giants 2 championships and the Jets 1

The total is NY 18 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS St Louis 2 (Really one because of the LA Rams).

If I lived in St. Louis I would have to root for other teams because Your teams take for ever to win anything.

As far as the Rams go your right they will be tough to beat. Even if you give me the points if the Ravens get there.

But I will say this. If the Rams don't win you may be waiting another 35 years for a championship.

PS: you asked for it

LOL, not bad John.....

seriously, very impressed with your cardinal knowledge. I suppose our players and teams are easier to remember since we dont buy a whole new team each year like the yankees. Ya, i am sure you are the worlds biggest Yank fan now, and probably a Mets fan during the 80's i am guessing?? Yes, it would be nice to have the luxury of living in a city that had two teams in every sport, that way you could just root for the team that was having a good year!!!! And now, since the NY football teams are.....well let's see......at home, you become a fan of the next closest team with a chance (ravens)!!!!! Take your multiple championships, i'll keep my pride and loyalty and stick with my Stl teams.

And the chicago reference??? please!!! First of all, we have no basketball team (sportscenter comes on about 5 times a day, quit looking at all the rats running around outside in Times Square for an hour and watch it). You cannot compare championships and include a team from a sport which we do not have. Minus the Bulls, and Chicago has one superbowl ring and that is it!!!

But we will always have our class........you wont see us throwing batteries at people.......snowballs........looting our own city.........well, you get the idea.

jon

you knew i had to reply LOL :)

Jon Fife,
I can't speak for Dominic, but I, like most Coloradoans am a transplant. They sure do love the Broncos here (I don't mind them), but I grew up in Michigan, but I never could get myself to like the Lions so I became a Vikings fan and have been all my life. I would have to say, for a state made up of a large percentage of transplants and being a state with a not very high population it does have a very strong sports support. I don't think there are many states (if any) that can match Colorado's support for its teams.

What, no votes for the Eagles?!?

I would like to see the Eagles get a shot at it. Stranger things have happened, right?

Well I will start with why I am not a Brono fan. Can't tell you why for sure but just don't like them. I love to see them lose. I have been a bears fan for ever and plan to remain one until the day I die. I have lived in Colorado most of my life but still ove the Bears.
First let me tell you why the bears will win the Super Bowl.
D-Fence!!! The Monster of the Mid-Way are back. And running at full power!!
The Bears have only won one Super Bowl in 1985. A team that will live in the history books forever. But before there was a Super Bowl they still did have Championships. I can't remember right off hand the number the bears won but they won several.
The Ram's might be "The greatest show on turf" but they have not played a team with a D-Fence like the Bears. I hope they meet in the NFC Championship to prove everybody wrong about them. The Bears will Dehorn the Ram's.lol
The Eagles, yes they are good but they will never win championships untill Donavon McNabb grows up and stays in the pocket. They do have a bright future but it will not be this year. I say the Bears pluck the Eagles feathers easly.lol:D
Just to add history to the story for everyone The Bears were the first Pro football team in St. Louis. Before the Cardnals and the Ram's.
As for the AFC I don't think any of the teams stand a chance against the NFC this year.

GO BEARS!!!!!:D

Jon F.

Not bad yourself. LOL

Believe it or not I was rooting for Arizona to win the World Series.

I am a METS,JETS,Knicks, and most of all a RANGER(Hockey) fan. I was crushed when the Yankees beat he METS 2 yrs ago in the Worl Series. I am loyal to my teams.

I have a feeling you never rooted for the Rams untill they booted your real football team(Cardinals out of town) They call that Jumping on the band wagon. I bet you were a 49er fan in the 80's when they won all those Super Bowls.

As far as being a fan of the Ravens I'm not. I just think that they could win it once again with that defense. I would like to see the Packers crush your LA Rams and they win the whole shabang. But highly unlikely.

Here's a stat for ya, the Chicago bears probably have more football championships then any team in football. There may be one other team that has more...AND who is that...the NY GIANTS.

Rats in NY city can't argue that. THose rats can beat your teams.

Its good that you will stay loyal to your teams (Even though If the Titans make it back to theSuperbowl in the near future I can see you jumping on that bandwagon). Hopefully you live to 90 so you can see your teams win maybe 2-3 more championships while my teams win 30 or so more.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Clean County,

Rangers fan, huh? Sorry about what our Flyers did to you on Saturday. That had to be tough on you.

Shawn

Shawn,
Naaaah. You have a very good team. Bobby Clarke was probably my second alltime best hockey player behind the one and only #4 Bobby Orr when I was growing up.

Its been 8yrs now since the Rangers won the cup. The flyers what 25 yrs..OUCH

Yeah, It's been a while.

I guess I'm getting all hyper because it looks like we can actually make a run for the cup this year ! Personally, I hope it comes down to Rangers/Flyers for the cup. Since you do have our "ex-best" player. (Lindros) Would make for some very interesting hockey........

LOL,

...well, i am glad to see i am not the only one that watches sports 24/7.

John Clean County: jumping on the bandwagon??? I was 11 when the football Cards skipped town, and you expect me to be the fan of a team that wanted to leave??? I was getting ready to be a stl Stallions fan in about '94, we were supposed to get the Pats. Finally got a team in '95, but it took me about 6 months to like them because the first thing they did was draft Kevin Carter at number 7 (i think) when they could have got Sapp. Actually, that still pisses me off to think about. The most games we won before '99 was 7 (i believe) in a season and i was a fan. I was a fan during the rich brooks, tony banks, june henley era.

And whats this stuff about the bears??? Are you pulling out pre-NFL stats now??? Hey, lets start keeping track of back yard scrimmages too!!

I will die before i ever say one positive thing about the Titans or the Volunteers.

Seriously, glad to see you are a Mets fan and not a bandwagon yank fan. You guys are definitely putting together some pretty serious firepower for '02. Just saw that you signed Astacio today. Gary Carter was one of my favorite players growing up, and if it were not for Mookie Wilson then we could not all make fun of Red Sox fans about Buckner.

Prediction for Sunday: Much closer game than people expect, i do not believe the Rams are as invincible as many people seem to believe.

see ya,

Jon

Two words guys and gals....

GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:p :p :p :p :p

Jon Fife,
Its fun breaking each others chops over sports. THat is why I love sports. Me and my friends use to beat each other up(Playfully of course. At time a little rough) over our sport teams.

Yea them were the days. I do tip my hat to "Your" Rams. Why Dick Vermiel left...IDIOT.

Beth,
Good Luck to your Cleveland Browns..err..I mean Your Indy Colts..uhhh..I mean Your Baltimore Ravens(Who we all know are really Cleveland transplanted)LOL
