Most likely Mutual Funds for retirement in 30 or so years. Not quite sure yet. I am meeting with my financial advisor this Saturday. He was saying that historically they can gain anywhere from 10 to 12% annually.

I bought some ConocoPhillips last week.....about half way down the big fall....guess I didn't predict the bottom very well

So since purchasing, my investment has fallen about 10%-15%.....not countiing what happened today, as I haven't checked.

BTW, I don't typically invest in stocks, just funds. But I'm allowing myself a little money each year to try and have some fun with and hit a home run.

I bought stocks in my own company. I am the proud owner of 100 shares of NOTHING! Actually I'm done with stocks... Made a bunch of $$ a couple of years ago and then I lost a bunch of $$... I don't like that game too much!

Love houses right now. I bought 7 last year, and sold 5. I and renting the other 2 and looking for more now. Havent bought any in '08, but plan on ramping up in '09 since I believe we've hit the bottom, or close to it in the RE market.

Ditto, i still have 1 rented. Real Estate will always come around again, i think it will take a little longer this time.

At least you have something tangible in real estate, and not a bunch of paper.
