hello , i saw on this thread some months ago that u fellars usually pre wet the concrete surface before pressure washing it . Is there an exact reason for this in terms of the effect on the end product ?

It depends on the surface, and type of soap. If it is a powder or something like that that you are throwing out, it lets teh powder activate. If it is just for straight power washing, then it is like a presoak for your clothes, that lets the soils get loosened before you spray.

It always helps. Even with straight water. Most people discover this when they are working in the rain, and how much easier it is to wash while it is already wet. In fact, in the rain you do not want to presoak teh concrete with Chemicals because tehy will wash away.

I always pre-soak the grass and shrubery around me with straight up water. Then I hit the concrete with bleach straight up. Or being pulled through the pressure washer. I pressure wash after that. Then when I'm done I hit the area with bleach 1 more time and leave it at that. It usually removes most stains and looks great when your done.

i have never used bleach but the bleach we have here does not leave as smell that one can mask too easily
