why does my surface cleaner have a small spray bar?

is there a reason why the spray bar is like 3 or so inches smaller than the surface cleaner itself?
Seems like an extra inch and a half wouldnt hurt anything...

BE whirl a way 24".
it's the arm that came stock.
possible to upgrade?
where would I order from?

Sounds like you got ripped off.

I would send it back and get a different brand like Whisper Wash, Steel Eagle or Mosmatic.

That can't be the correct spray arm assembly. My classic drives ma crazy with an inch clearance! That amount of space must leave tons of cut in work.

I wonder if there is a mosmatic spray bar that is a little bit longer so maybe the spray would get closer to the wall? I think Russ or Paul would know. Maybe an adapter for the swivel would be needed?

At the very least you gotta' use 2065's(if they even make them) to widen the spay pattern.

My BE surface cleaner is the same. I too thought I had been short changed on spray bar length. My theory is that if the spray bar runs to close to the outside of the body of the SC the water jet would drive the dirt out from under the body and it would go everywhere. With the arm finishing where it does under the body, for the most part, the mess is contained by the body and directed back down to the wash path of the SC.

My hammerhead is about a 1/2" from the hover cover, and my classic is about an inch. No mess flies out of either of them. That's what the skirt is for. Seems like a funky design to me.

It could be a 20" bar that was mistakenly put on the 24"

My 24" BE that I bought 6 years ago came with a 19" spray bar and the replacement bars are 19" long (2 nozzle bar) as well. There was always a good 2" that I had to wand as it didn't clean right up to the cover edge. I converted this BE to a mosmatic swivel and bar and now the nozzles and cleaning capability go right to the edge.

searched on google for be whirl a way 24" and saw a pic of another spray bar built the same way.
What a stupid design
