This has been discussed a lot in the past older threads like from last year and further back.
Always remember that whatever you add to the mix will fight with the SH and start to weaken it so the more junk you add to the mix the weaker it will start to get.
To have good foam you should add more of a detergent or foaming agent to the mix (which will start to weaken the mix) and you will need foaming nozzles or open tubes with static mixers.
For the best foam you should have air added to the system like an air compressor but then that shortens the distance you can spray like down to 10' to 15'.
With more stuff or ideas, things will have to give and with some benefits you will have some sacrifices.
Just a little FYI.
I modified mine a bit and got it to shot foam around 40' my foam is thicker than what you guys would use.
I've seen units that shot foam 90' they are use by truck washers.
Al,,,Define foam. What are you looking for it to do. If you want actual foam you would have to use a foaming gun.

Al, the white 'foam' that you see in some of the guys roof cleaning pics could be the 'suds' of the detergent they use - but with the effect of applying chlorine to mildew you will also see a white 'foam' created as the chlorine is doing it's job on the mildew.
The different formulas for roof cleaning chemicals have been discussed over and over - at the end of the day, use what you can work safely with and what is effective. I don't clean roofs but know that many in FL swear by a chlorine, water and detergent mix.
hth
I can get mine to shoot foam but only further than my shoe?
