x-jet....

My dilemma is with my x-jet... This sounds more like a simple 'physics' question (maybe) but, why is my x-jet holding container filling up instead of pulling from??? I haven't used it in quite some time, but am I missing something here? I'm using a 4.0gpm/3500psi unit. HELP!

The X-Jet will send water down the chemical hose when you use too small of a nozzle (too much backpressure) or if there is trash in the nozzle (causing a restriction and thus backpressure).

What nozzle are you using with the X-Jet?

If you are using the M-5 version that has the adjustable fan/0-degree nozzle then there is probably trash in the nozzle causing backpressure.

If you are using the old style, you might be using too small of a nozzle.

I am using the M-5.... I'll take it apart and try cleaning it...
Thanks Chris!

Okay.... I took her apart and found no debris.I'll try to post the picture.... hope this works...
M5

Could not figure out how to load pic....???? Sorry. But regardless, the unit was all clear. ????

Which version do you have?

What nozzle are you using?

when you take it apart and you remove the little spring clip from the female end do you have the little collar inside. i broke mine down one day and tried to put it back together without that collar and it blew water out of both ends like what your experiencing. that collar end sits in the middle of that feed hole and its location creates the venturi effect when the water starts flowing. if its missing or too far back towards the quick connect side it will do what your experiencing. hope that helps. all else fails take it apart on a well lit table, clean it out and put it back together.
