This yellow spot on the left bleach or any thoughts? Will heat alone remove this?

I've got 2 large spots like that on my own driveway and I can't get them out. I've lightened them but they almost look like brand new concrete color and even after cleaning the rest of the drive there is still a noticeable difference. If you find something that works please keep us posted!

We've seen spots like that where Armorall has gotten on driveways.....basically the concrete has been "sealed" to a degree.

try to use 24% hydrogen chloride it usually remove top of concrete surface( brings original concrete color)..very strong chemical

WHAT?

Okay -

1 - You need to add a signature....name, COMPANY name, location, phone & website

2 - WHY would you even THINK about removing the top of the concrete surface?

Are you real?

I was also thinking that was kind of extreme. Id rather not remove the top of the surface just remove the spot. If its not possible then its not possible Im just looking for suggetions or products that have worked in situations similar.

I have a 4gpm unit with heat but just not sure what to use product wise

I have 2 questions for bahrahm.

1. How long have you been in business for?

2. How long do you plan on staying in business for?

I think you maybe on the wrong forum to even suggest taking the top coat of the concrete off. You might want to try the forum www.hacksrus.com I'm sure over there they suggest using 0 degree tips with 4000 PSI for washing houses and much more.

I talked with David at SS&S and he said that you need to run a coat of D6 made by Caterpillar and let that dry and then follow that up with a coat of cement truck and the driveway will come out looking good as new.:killingme:

All kidding aside he has not run into this but he did give me some suggestions that you can try but he also said to test them first because some will actually darken the concrete.

1. Goof Off
2. Citragel
3. Sodium Hydroxide and Butyl mix

With all of these he said to use heat when rinsing.

There are a lot of home remedies on the web also like WD-40 but most of these are on non-porous surfaces. Good luck

well i been doing washing for 2 years, and only reason y i said that he wants remove stain...otherwise u have to dye concrete..or if u dont want to use chemical u can use shot blaster with 1mm steel shots, i dont c other way to solve the problem. i do a lot of concrete polishing, dye and repair most like with epoxy type. pressure washing is not my main but i do 20% of what i do and im really happy to c all good ppl here share all the information what we need in pressure washing business.

The only problem with what you suggested is that you can not dye the concrete if it is sealed with a silicone. It will repel the dye also. Shot blaster is way too expensive for this little spot and unless you are going to dye after wards the shot blasted area will be noticeable unless you do the entire driveway.

Some times you just have to say that you can't do it also. It is very hard without knowing what the stuff is exactly.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Ill give them a try and let ya know.

Alright, so I cleaned it and the yellow spot didnt budge, and when it was wet you could see streaks all on the driveway (not yellow), like other stuff has been spilt but once it dried it looked good. I went up to 250 degrees of heat...is this neccessary for driveways? It was warm out and I was using 50ft hose so Im guessing the heat was around 240. What heat do you use?

Zac, you dont need heat for driveways. Your yellow spot test showed that. Ive been cleaning them for years with cold water just fine. Everyone around here (Knoxville) thinks hot water is the answer to everything and its not. I guess they need a reason to justify the
$7-$13k rigs they get from Magnum. Save the $4.00/gallon diesel and the wear & tear on the burner for the commercial work.

I agree with Celeste. Possibly an Armorall stain . These type of stain really pop when the cement is wet.
Just wish we knew how to take it out. I would give one desire a shot.
