Anyone using inexpensive accounting software

John, this is something that will pay you in the long run to just buy the proper software. Go ahead and pay the money for quickbooks. I promise that it will save you more than its cost in the next year.
 
Got Quickbooks today .. I have alot of learning to do.. I am having a little trouble with reciving invoices because I dont use the invoices they have on ebooks.. But I think I am getting the hang of it.. I got so bored putting all the account names in .. Still got to go back and add addresses and contacts
 
Microsoft scares me. Especially since they want you to do it all online. I like the privacy.

We have been using various versions of Peachtree for the last 20 years. This is very complete for our needs.
 
Q books will save you the money ten times over. It will also schedule jobs, write work orders automatic and even bill automatic.

Accounting Express does not do everything q b does. Not even close.

Sorry Roger, My software is customized and micro only allows so much. Qb has easier reports and daily tracking.
 
Lets see, mine schedules through outlook, does auto billing, credit cards, quotes, quotes to invoices, late fees, advertising campaign tracking (again through outlook), way more reports than I know what to do with, payroll,........................which part aint close?

Lets see, it all cost about 500.00 Qb is 150.00 at cost co and does it all in one place.

Roger, i'm not going to disagree with you. I have used both and still use Micro stuff for other things.

If you have copys of micro stuff and didnt pay for them they are not cheap to buy licsened copys.

Also on vista is harder to pirate software.

I didnt say you pirate, maybe you have and old copy and forgot what it costed because it came with your PC.

Anyway, if your talking about micro business edition it still around 500.00
 
$500? Do you undastand da wurds dat are comin outa my mouf? ITS FREE! The OP was going from pen and paper to some software, Im no MS fan but free and just as good as QB seems like an option. Hell the PRO version is only $140! Oh and thank you ron for not insinuating that Im a thief.:rolleyes:
 
I am happy to pirate software if you could all send me your best most expensive software and any registration codes I may need I would appreciate it
