If a shop will not repair the hose, and a lot won't due to liability, try a reusable end. You will need to get the end of the hose in good enough shape for you to get the outer end casing of the end over, but screw it on, and then screw in the inside part. It is a really tight fit to get these things on, and is not really easy, but it will last.
A couple of hints:
1. When you are putting on the outer part, have the inner part screwed in a couple of threads, and screw the whole thing in. It will "guide" itself into the hose that way.
2. If you use some sort of silicone spray, it will sometimes make it easier.
3. Big Bolt cutters are the easiest way to cut a hose in the field, without a cutoff saw. A hacksaw does work, jsut make sure the blade is sharp and fine toothed.
Good luck
