Nope. I have seen a lot of talk about it, but I just dont get it. So, until i understand i am going to wait. It might be a long time.

Like you said, Google voice is now open to everyone in the US, Its so killer! I recommend trying to grab a semi custom # as soon as you can. I have had a couple of the #s for about a year now, and its a really amazing service. I highly recommend it. You can grab different #s in different counties sort of.. It works best if you just use one # though.

Chris how does google voice works does send email message to you when some one calls it. Also can you get 800 number from google.

Basically, when you call my google voice # it ports it to my cell phone. My phone rings, and says I have a call from ....... then I can choose to answer it or not. If it goes to voice mail , it can then transcribe the voice mail and email it to me. It does a bunch of other neat stuff.. there are a couple of videos here you can watch on the features:
