Graffiti on painted cinder block building

Whats a good product to use that will not remove the block paint?

I am not sure if the block paint is a latex or not. Is there a easy way to tell if I have latex or oil base ? Being a exterior wall I would think that it would have a oil base paint.

From what I have read on a few post Tagaway would be a good product to try.

Any helpful tips would be appreciated.

I just paint the area. Too much risk with removing existing paint with renoval products.
Oil base vs water base is really hard to tell, because all the paints have latex inthem andmany brands actually have premium water base paints, even for metal available.

No such animal (product). The problem is that almost all paints these days are latex based. Spray paint is almost always an enamel (oil based). Enamels adhere to latex base coats just like they do to primer.

I just passed 4 of my new shopping centers over to one of the painting contractors I do washes for. Big score for him, as these centers apparently get tagged almost once a week.

Easy to tell if it's latex. Latex paint will allow your fingernail to dig into it, enamel won't. Or, take some glass cleaner on a terry cloth rag, rub an inconspicuous area. Look at the terry cloth rag, it you see paint on the rag, it's latex.

We demoed a product on tagged wood. Didn't remove a lot of the original paint on the wood. This was done without a power washer. Let me know if you want more info, I don't want to promote in the wrong area. :wave3:
