Do you ever think they will get it anywhere near back to normal?
They??? meaning BP. HELL no.
It will NEVER be the same in our precious gulf again.
Even the pics Russ posted don't tell of the underlying damage.
The oil that you see on the water and that made it ashore is the "lightest" of the crude.
Eventually, some will be carried off to the East coast in the loop current.
But the worst part is what we don't see. The "heavy" crude that is looming below the surface choking the sea life ( and MY marlins) . It will settle in some spots outside of the loop current ( meaning all states in the gulf coast), suffocating all life it comes in contact with. It will also end up on the mexico side as well. Causing the same damage to our "Mexican Riviera".
These are my numbers from just crunching a bit.
240,000,000 gallons in 48 days.
By the time BP gets the relief wells finished in Aug ( that's a lie) in 85 days, it will have leaked 665,000,000 gallons. That's right.... over a half a BILLION gallons in MY ( our) gulf.
BP claims to be recapturing 5-50 % of the leak with only one vent of the "cap" closed off. Well, that just shows how ACCURATE they are. There are 3 vents on the cap and if they close them all, the pressure will blow the cap off and even more will gush out since they had to cut off the "crimped" pipe that was at least restricting SOME of the flow, to put the cap on.
When you look at the oil cams BP has in place, it actually looks as if MORE oil is flowing since the placement of the cap. They say they are recovering 14000 BARRELS a day. A barrel is 42 gallons.
Let me be the first to call "BULLSH&T" on those stats.
This hasn't even started yet folks.
The gulf is all but DEAD and all but memories now.
The first dead birds have ooozed ashore on our beloved beaches here in Texas. It's time for some "Rattlesnake Justice" :nhl_checking: here in Texas.
Especially since BP is based here in Houston.
Leak my A$$. this is an underground GUSHER. A geyser. A death flow.
The only accurate media released was just within the past few days when the stats show that the mess will be around for DECADES. DECADES.
Not until the Fall like Gen. Thad and BP say. DECADES.:yikes:
The down side is that the U.S. is only one demographic for the money hungry upper echelon. They drill all over the world. So unfortunately this incident will not stop them from RAPING our world and possibly effing up another part of our beautiful landscape and throwing money at the problem to make us believe they are FIXING it.
:yikes:
My heart goes out to all who are directly and "about to be " directly affected.
The spin doctors are hard at work folks.
"Hearing" is not believing, but seeing IS.
The good folks in Houston are "Gulf People". We love our gulf.
We DON'T love BP.
Personally I feel they should keep their rear view mirrors nice and clean, so they can see the mob mentality that is about to beat their A$$ coming up from behind.
BP should not be allowed to operate anywhere ever again.
Obama is simply a Talking Head and always has been and always will be.
BP are professional spin doctors who actually hire professional spin doctors to spin their spins. Geez. And all of them share the same bed.
I promise you, if this gusher kills our beaches, Texans will be on the war path.
We won't wait for BP or Barrack "insane" No- Bama to take action.
We will berm our own damn shores.
BP and Uncle Obama have already proven they don't even own a pair of track shoes to move swifter. Just spin spin spin.
Sorry Russ, didn't mean to hijack thread.
But in my opinion, that is my answer to the question in quotes.
GOD BLESS TEXAS, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and the Mexican Riviera.
Let's get to work.:moil:
