Macys building wash Houston tx

So we washed this macys building yesterday morning. This building was washed by another company bragging about using 200 degree water. You can see the results. This is the same mall that we washed the JC Pennys in recently so the PM hired us to do this building over and you can see who the clear winner is....200 degree water, or the right chemicals applied with a lower pressure pump.

So just got the contract for the rest of the building and ALL of the light poles in the parking lot. Just goes to show that good work begets more work!

Be honest, do a good job, and price fairly, and you will create loyal customers!!
 
I am confused, do you only soft wash or do you have a hot water machine also?

First of all, great job, looks good.

While soft washing is great ,we do it all the time, but when other companies discount the use of hot water, you are not serving your customer to the fullest, but instead shooting yourself in the foot. Better to partner with a hot water company then make him your enemy,

I assure you that there will be a day when hot water is needed, and a company like ours will come along and take it all, and make the soft wash process just another part of what we do, cause we do it all, what could we discount? Soft wash gum? Dumpster areas? Compactors?

Or am I wrong?
 
I think I didnt explain what I mean. We dont do anything that needs hot water. We do have some companies in the area, Gulf Coast with Eric and Jenny, Marcus Raif with Katy Memorial PW just to anme a couple, that when hot water is needed I call them up, or just pass it along.

The point of my original comment at the top of this thread was that the company told the customer that because they used hot water, thats as clean as the building would get. They collected their check and laughed all the way to the bank.

I dont think that company purposefully swindled the customer, I think they just didnt know about softwashing. It took them over a week to do this building with pressure, and should take us 1 1/2 - 2 days with chems.

Hot water definately has its place, we just dont bid anything that needs it.

That company is run by fools, poor work will never get repeat business, oh crap, YES IT DOES! But thankfully you are dealing with a PM that understands the benefit of quality work over cheaper $$.

I have posed as a PM, and brought in companies to get evaluations and estimated to clean buildings, and I have heard the "hot water is the only way to go" line, and I just sat there like I didn't know the difference and agreed with them, they are fools for sure. On the opposite side of that ridiculous argument, I have heard that "NO never use hot water you will damage the surface" that argument usually comes from the guy with 2 or 3 Home Depot pressure washers in the trunk of his car.

The fact that you do good quality work and are willing to stand behind it is a very meaningful stance. The previous company should have never have gotten paid in the first place, either because the PM or his boss should have recognized that the poor work was not worthy of a payment, or more importantly the previous company should have held their head down in shame and just walked away, hopefully into traffic.

Keep the customer informed and knowledgeable and we will all succeed.

Maybe they collected their check with their hand stuck out behind their back so as to not look their pm in the face? :groucho:
