New Powder Concrete Cleaner

We have a new powder concrete cleaner, Mega Powder. It is effective on oil stains as well as coffee and tea stains. A 40 lbs. box will make 55 gallons and can be mixed in smaller amounts for convenience, just measure it out. It is also a non HazMat product.
40 lbs. $165.00

I agree with Ron on the free samples. Can we get it in smaller portions instead of just the 40 lbs? I wouldn't want to buy 40 lbs of a chemical just to find out that I don't like it for one reason or another. No offense Steven in any way, shape or form though. My garage is starting to look like a chemical warehouse though.

I agree with Vince. I'm not going to purchase 40 lbs of anything I've never tried before unless it's a product that everybody is talking about because it works. I would like to try Mega Powder but not 40 lbs worth.

Ron, as I as I told you in our conversations I do not own the company. I have also taught many in the industry how products work and make the job easier.
As for free samples, that is something I never felt the need to do. The chemicals I have always sold have proven to have a long track record for performing. I introduced many of the chemicals that are on the market today and taught contractors how to use them. Many years ago I charged to teach classes but after that I invited people to come spend a day with me on the jobsite and learn first hand, just buy lunch. Anyone and everyone is welcome to visit me and see first hand how the chemicals work.

Steven, Giving out free samples is sometimes necessary in order to make a sale just as it is necessary for me to do a free demo in order to make a sale. I'm curious to know which chems you introduced and sold as I don't really know you.

I'd be interested in a sample of citriclean to see if the high price is justified. If your product is as good as you say it is, samples would increase your sales. Like of you're on the fence about buying a nice car. The salesman can't wait to give you a test drive, because they know it will convince you.

Thank Rance for being honest, Steven has been around at least 13 years. He's a good guy, that why we need him at the UAMCC, you hit the nail on the Head. If he was a part of the association he would have National Recognition along with the trust of us knowing he was a part of the industry rather than a Lone wolf. You as a Consumer like to buy from trusted people like Russ, Paul and others you have met right here who participate in better your business. I get that, often there has been others that have let us down or you try chemicals that don't work like Vince Describes above.

Steven sometimes to Speed the process of branding Samples are just a common practice of doing Business. I realize its not your business this time around and the choice is not solely yours, many here are telling you they would like to try but they are not buying a 140.00 dollars worth to find its not for them. Many of the other distributors are charging a Fee for shipping so they only get serious Buyers instead of people who just want Free-bees.

I'm sure more will share there thoughts with you open and honestly.

Have a great weekend hope this threads not discouraging to you on how things Change and business people are new since the beginning days we all started here 13 years ago. They also unfortunately come and go for reasons Personal and often financial.

I still would like to get your Boss in the association in the near future. I think everyone here will tell you that they love getting discounts and having close relations with other pros like yourself. Love to have you attend a meeting Steven and teach what you know, the Chemical DOctor is a great asset to the industry and possibly the association.

By the way guys that Steven on the Left and Russ Johnson we all know on the right at KY 2011

Ron, I'm not trying to discourage Steven and I don't mean to be disrespectful to him in any way but I just can't justify spending $165 for 40 lbs of something I've never seen nor heard of. As far as Steven goes I wish him well and know he is a veteran.

You know, I quit with the free samples myself. Everyone took them because they were free, but I'd call a month to 6 weeks later to follow up and see how well the product worked, only to learn that it's still sitting on the shelf in the garage. Now we sell products in small quantities for testing so someone who is truly interested can get some without the cost of a large amount, only to be dissatisfied with the product.

Or, like the times I introduced Roof Snot and Lemon-Aid, a few samples were given to trusted industry veterans for honest appraisal before public release.

Bingo, Nailed it!!!!!!

Thats it, free samples to guys who you know will give you a serious test.

I think distributors should all practice this before they even release a product. How many night mares would that have prevented?

Rance your right on, your just being and Honest consumer, sometimes these guys have to hear it.

Russ just nailed it, you have to have the go to guys so people like yourself know its worth wasting the money on.

Don't blame you one bit

These are all great points.

I will not buy from chemical suppliers unless I test something first, I would buy all kinds of things in the past only to find out that I wasted not only time and money but then I had to get rid of the worthless chemicals at my own expense and time.

Unless there are guys on the forums that have tried the products, I might buy a sample and pay for shipping but long gone are the days of buying drums or drum kits of something that I have not tried out first to make sure it works in the real world and at real world ratios.

I don't hate chemical vendors, just the ones that lie about the ratios, lie about what it will wash and lie about how good it is, especially if they have never washed out in the real world in the past or recently to know what it takes to make a good product that actually works out in the field.

I have bought Steve's products in the past when he had his website and forum and they were good products so I am sure he has something good or he would not be promoting it.

Since this product is non-hazmat, I would think that it could be measured out to make a 5 gallon bucket and the shipping does not even have to be ups or fedex, it could be thee usps priority mail for about $8.00 or less for up to 4 or 5 pounds or what you can fit into those free boxes they give out to promote the priority mail. This would help keep the shipping part down.

I would even be interested in this if I could test at least a 5 gallon bucket or two to see how it does compared to what I normally use.

The first customer and willing to help you sell more, Thanks Chris for Stepping up
