NEW years Resolution early!!!!

I figured there was plenty of time so I played with the numbers this week. Out of curiosity I wanted to see what a week of eating as I please would do.

Three days I ate full breakfasts at restaurants. At least 4 days we ate lunch or dinner having a full meals at sit down restaurants. Surprisingly it wasn't too tempting to overdo it as much as I thought it would be. I still overdid it some.

Went mountain biking twice, golfing once and worked physically 4 days.

Here are the numbers:

Averaged 2516 calories per day.
Gained 4 lbs. (I'm sure 2-3 of that is just residual from the 3600 calories I had yesterday!)

So I ate about 3600 calories over what I should be eating at my size and age last week. Probably gained about 1 real lb.

That science is pretty close.

That fits in pretty good with my estimate that I need about 2000 calories per day to maintain at steady weight at a moderate/sedentary level.

Now I'll try to start working my way down.

At 1500 calories per day I should lose a lb a week on average and should be down to 207 or so by May 1. I'll probably kick it up a notch or two later to try to make 195. It might be tough!

Sunday weigh in: 226

You already lost 14lbs in just a few weeks after the doctors visit. Your on your way.

I haven't gotten serious yet. I haven't been working out. Just TRYING to watch what I eat. I'll be lucky if lost much of anything this week.

I need to get on this.

From mid November till christmas I went from 179 to 193. That's the heaviest I have been since 2005.(I wieghed 215 then). Im 5'10". From christmas till now I pretty much stopped eating out. We make healthy meals at home, and I have been working out a couple times a week. Im back down to 178, which is rignt where I want to be.Its always a little bit of a battle, because I have an enormous appetite.2 members of my family have had the lap band surgery(with limited success).I just try to wiegh myself often, and if its creeping up, I know I need to cut back

Eating out is one of the biggest things that make it hard to stick on a diet. Pack lunches if you are working and cook dinner at home. Not only do you save tons of money but you can really manage the nutrition of your food

Buy a Wok and turn too oriental cooking ? Find a oriental market to shop in because they have more veggies at half the price. Wok off the pounds or just wok off !

Here we Go again, got my personal Trainer Back. Have to Loose 100 Pounds before August

Do you still work, or just manage? I would think pushing a surface cleaner around hot azz Arizona would get you there pretty quick.

I have a long-time friend who is a Beachbody coach and I signed up to be in one of her jump start groups a month ago. (Plus we have our 25 year reunion next week!) The accountability was so good for me! I have ended up signing up to be a coach myself, not that I'm in shape to do it. (I did it for the discount on Shakeology and other products). Losing weight after 40 has been so hard, and even with the diet and almost daily exercise, I'm only down 5 pounds. (I used to could drop 5 pounds in a week with my eyes closed.) Down quite a few inches though. I think accountability is a huge part of weight loss...or at least it's helping me. Posting about it on Facebook is sometimes embarrassing, but I know people are reading it so it's making me stick with it. I don't want to post this stuff and then look like a chump because I gave up when I got tired of it. All this to say, first Ron -- Go for it! Stick with it! You can do it! Second, if anyone's interested in an accountability group, let me know. I'm going to be starting one anyway for some of my girl friends. We could start one for the industry as well.

LOL! No, I'm expecting to make a "Men of the Pressure Washing industry" calendar showing off all those new six pack abs -- including yours Ron!

It's more like a 24 pack
