Get a call Monday from one of our managers, says they have to close down the pool area of a complex we wash for 3 days. A owner has (MRSA) it is a bacterial infection that is highly resistant to some antibiotics. Symptoms: Staph skin infections cause a red, swollen, and painful area on the skin and is contagious

So they need us to go disinfect pool deck, all pool furniture and fence. I research and we take care of it at a little premium which was OK'd by the management. So its hot as heck this week and people can't use the pool, oh well.

Just got a call at 4pm Friday and manager says can we go back and do it again, I ask WHY? The idiot with MRSA is seen swiming and having fun in the pool. Managers calls infected person and asks for a release from his doctor. Guy say OH. Guys says I will call doctor and get release, doctor calls manager and says he will not give release. Basically the dumb ass still has the infection.

Manager asks for us to go tonight or tomorrow and charge double and they are charging the homeowner.

Unreal are people really this ignorant? Duh
 
Maybe he needs a dip in a barrel of 12.5% love hahahahaha

Maybe that will help his situation but then give him a reason to go to the E.R.

It is a shame that the company spent the money sanitizing the area and then he goes back and has to have them go and sanitize again.


That is a good question, what are they doing about his room? That would be some good info to know in case some of us are asked to do some different types of sanitizing.
 
Heck, cut him in if he'll go back in next week.
 
We did a 44,000 SF turkey processing facility for a possible contamination of E-coli bacteria. VERY good money but they want in done NOW. ( Like we have called you at 1120 AM can you be here at 4PM and continue thru the night?)

Just wondering why the pool is closed for 3 days after you sanitize it? I would think that the bleach would kill everything and it would be safe for people after a few hours.

Is this a standard procedure dealing with this condition or just something that is wanted by the owners?

I did wonder Chris, but did not ask, I just assume its s standard procedure or something DHEC recommends
