Switching to hot water

Hey guys and gals, finally landed our first job, cleaning the Chamber of Commerce. We exchanged a Flatwork and building clean for a years membership, and they were very happy with the results, sorry had to get that out, lol.

Anyway with winter coming up so fast and with wanting to switch to gas station cleaning, gum removal, banks, ect. I am looking to get hot water. I am currently running a Honda 4GPM 4000 PSI cold water unit.
At this time i can not afford a whole new hot water unit so my next option is adding a hotbox, or burner to the skid.

I have done several searches and can not seem to find a distributor that sells just the hot boxes, or instructions on attaching it to your PW unit.
I have been told this is possible but need to know from the experts.

Please and thank you all,
Tyler.

Tyler, I'm in Louisville. Give me a call.

If you decide to use a 12V setup you will need a power source that can keep up with the demand of the unit. If the cold water unit is electric start you may be ok but you will need a charging system on it that is at least 20 amp. Another option would be to run it off the truck battery but the truck will need to be running to keep the battery fully charged. If it is a cold water unit and not electric start you will need to get a 120V setup for power.

Sorry i did not get back to the computer yesterday, yes i called Russ and as always he was very helpful.
Thank you all.

If you use a 120v generator get an inverter generator, way cheaper to run then a standard generator. The burners require an initial high load, then after that very little power to keep moving. The inverter gen allows you to boost the power for the start, and then bring it back down to idle after. I typically run 2000 watt ones and never have issues, and use less then a full gallon for an 8 hour work day.
