Talon 3 swivel

anyone try the talon 3 swivel yet I'm looking to replace the swivel on a steel eagle vacuum surface cleaner.

I have the Talon swivel but not the Talon 3, It is either the Talon 2 or the Talon 1, I used it to replace the crappy brass swivel that comes on the Alkota surface cleaner (steel eagle makes it for them).

It is holding up good so far.

I think that maybe Chris T. has tried the Talon 3.

Greg, have you looked into if the Deublin would fit on the surface cleaner? Might not be a bad idea even though it cost a lot more, sure would last a lot longer than most if not all swivels out there.

The Mosmatic swivels are good, too. Not likely to last quite as long as the deublin, but I have had good luck with them. I still use Deublin's where it is an issue of longevity. I don't know anything about the Talon swivels, though.

The talons are sold through steel eagle I thought they might be a direct drop in with no modifcation.

That mosmatic DYC triple bearing has been a bullet proof workhorse for me, about $150.

Tom can you post a picture of the dyc I have a mosmatic swivel in the shop but I'm not sure which one it is.

Dultmeier has them. I do open it up every few weeks and put silicone grease in the bearing.

This one is 4-bearings and costs more

Greg, the talons hold up well for a while but like anything it will fail. I have several around here that I have used or currently use. They are cheap enough to keep a spare around and when you order them tell them it may go onto a whisper wash or steel eagle product but your not sure and they will have the holes drilled to fit either .

I agree with Scott I have had both the Mosmatic and Deublin swivels. The Mosmatic has been a great swivel for the price and have held up great. The dueblins do last longer but dollar for dollar I prefer the Mosmatic. If you want to convert them there is a complete conversion kit that Mosmatic makes for all the different surface cleaners.
