What to choose

Hello everybody,
Witch do you guys think is the best option between this two PW machines?
Option one:
Comet pump, 960 l/h (4.2gpm), 210 bar (3087psi), 11hp, 3400rpm and weight 50 kilos
Or
Option two:
Comet pump, 960 l/h (4.2gpm), 200 bar (2940psi), 11hp, 1560rpm and weight 72 kilos (this machine is also $350 more expensive)
What hose length can I use in this kind of machine without losing pressure?

The comet supplier is the only one around here that provide reliable service and equipment for this business. We’ve got karcher but if equipment fails, I’ll have to wait for weeks till they solve a problem.
The first cost 1950€ plus taxes and the second 2300€ plus taxes. Quite expensive around here
:(

You do know that Karcher now owns C-Tech which includes Hotsy, Tuff, Landa, Spraymart(?), etc, etc.

Guys,
You need to look at where he is from.

Alvaro, go with the slower turning Comet pump. You will stand a better chance of success with it than the faster one. My guess is it is probably belt drive, and that is the reason for the additional cost.
If you can locate a General/interpump, or Cat, I would go with it. Many of the parts on the Generals, and comets interchange, but the Generals have a better durability record with my use.

I dont care for the AR pumps. Everyone I have had has given me trouble. General is the way to go.

What the difference in price between a General TS2021 and a comparable CAT pump? I've never had a bit of trouble out of my TS2021, and I've heard similar things from quite a few others...So if the General will do the job and will last with no problems, why pay the extra money for a CAT???

This is the same question I've never gotten a decent aswer for regarding spending the extra money for higher priced equipment like Landa.

I agree with Mike. Besides, Cat is made in Japan. I've looked closely at both and General is my choice out of all of the above. Legacy sucks, I do know that. That's my 2 cents on the subject...

i have had very good success with belt driven general pumps,my first cat direct drive lasted one year, the direct drive general i replaced it with lasted until the adapter plate cracked and took out the shaft on a honda engine.

bought a belt drive general 3 years ago and havent replaced it yet.

Your right about paying more for sometimes three times... I would buy the cat if i was running my equipment myself. I have some contrators that run them to death and no problems. My problem is my guys run them without water and no pumps going to last that way.

So i buy ts2021 becasue they are good and inexpensive....

My guys are generally real good about not running without flow. However, I recently had to repack a 2021, and replace plungers. When they received their next pay envelope they were suprised to find parts of the plungers along with their checks. Caught their attention.
