White film on concrete

Last night I cleaned a new store with new concrete. When I was using the surface cleaner on it, I notice I was taking a white coat of the top of the concrete. I have come across this once before and I am not sure what it is or how to clean it to were it doesn't leave white streaks on it.
It doesn't look like I am damaging the concrete and it still looks like the white coat is still there somewhat.
This job I have as a monthly account, the other was just a one time job.

thanks

COULD BE

lime from the concrete coming to the top if it. if it were me i would do my best to sell a sealing job
call JAY at v-se*l

I agree with Ron about the seal job. We use a pure acrylic (25% solid) for this type application. We have an additive that can be mixed with the sealer if you roll it that will give it some grit, thus reducing the slickness of the sealer.

The white is the chemical that some concrete guys use to cure teh concrete. I think, but am not sure, that it is designed to give the concrete a harder, and thus more durable top layer. It will not hurt to remove the white stuff because it is not needed after the concrete is cured

The concrete guys in our area refer to this as “Quick Crete.” The coating is a fast acting cure for the concrete. I have found concrete with this coating can be cleaned but looks really bad after completion i.e. wand marks. There is nothing that can be done to get rid of the marks accept for acid.
