A non-injury fire gutted a Santa Monica bar and restaurant today, along with some apartments above the eatery, authorities said.

The second-alarm blaze at Santino's restaurant at 3021 Lincoln Blvd. was reported shortly after 1 a.m., said Santa Monica Fire Department Capt. Dale Hallock.

Flames were shooting out the front of the one-story business when firefighters arrived, an On Scene Video camera crew reported.

Fire crews quickly doused most of the fire, which gutted the business and several apartments above the restaurant, Hallock told a camera crew, adding that the structure was then searched and no victims were found.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation, and damages were being tallied, the captain said.

The restaurant's owner, Sergio Amata, opened the eatery three years ago, naming it after his son, Santino. The restaurant offers a menu that includes Spanish tapas, Italian pasta and Mexican food, according to the eatery's Web site.
