    Almost walked away

A job I almost walked away from because the paint was so bad in front. But the lady who lives here so wanted to have it cleaned and was as nice as could be. I was glad she talked me into it. A very light wash and the black hust melted off. Could not fix the paint but her house is white again.

    Nozzle Marking with stamps

Rather than the normal quick connect nozzles with the color plastic I started using the 1/4" meg nozzles with 1/4"fpt plugs. I like them much better because I can make up more choices and they are easy to change even if you have an o ring making things a bit tight. The problem I ran into is old...

    Pressure washing a painted driveway

I could not find any discussions on this and wonder if anyone has had any issues pressure washing a painted driveway. Any special techniques, precautions, chems, etc.. My limited experience is that they clean fast and easy with just water and using a surface cleaner is fine. I ask because I...

Advice on cleaning clay off brick.

OK, I realize the subject may raise an eyebrow. My intent was not to be cleaning brick homes but you take the jobs people need done. I have a home that the client wants the gutters cleaned. It is also vinyl at the top. So I will be using some gutter grenade and my house wash along with some...

    Chem Injectors

Are chem injectors way off from what they are rated or do I not get it? If I have a chemical injector that claims 30% draw (its actually 33% but I like to keep it simple) Can I expect that for every 5 gallons of liquid that come out the end of my lance that a gallon and a half of it would be...

    Operating pressure drop

Here is a newbie question but I don't have measurements to compare to so I wonder. Never used a pressure gauge on my pressure washers until this week. I would like to know if this is normal and expected. My 3500 psi 5.5gpm PW gives a reading of 3700Psi when there is now flow. When the trigger is...

What am I looking at here

I'm no roof expert so once again I find myself here at the institute. What am I looking at here? This is a 1995 ish roof that I am sure has never been cleaned. These spots will not come out with 10% SH sprayed right on it.

    Cleaning brick

I searched the forum but would like more information. If anyone has a technique they use on brick I would like to hear it. On the above wall how would you go about cleaning it? What would you be careful of? What would you do to keep the mold / mildew from coming back. I gotta say this job was...
