Alkota Skids

Alkota makes a good piece of equipment.

Top shelf. They are very good

I m not fond of the local Alkota dealer. ;) The machines are very nice though.

Alkota make several models. I think they are a decent choice, however I am prone to Landa. If I could not afford Landa, then possibly MiTM then Alkota.

I think Alkota boilers needs to be improved and their specs are sometimes a little bit far reached. Alkota uses parts/ fittings that are less expensive but gets the job done.

Landa however, is very conservative with their spec's and spends more on the fittings and parts.

That's my 2 cents !

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Kind of a toss-up between Alkota and Hydrotek. I'm waiting on a quote from my local Alkota distributor. I realize and agree Landa makes a great machine. I've had issues with the Landa distributor here in Phoenix and the last time I got screwed there I told him he's never get any business from me again.

So Fleetwash, PSI or AAA?

If you are buying locally, I would probably do AAA. I don't trust or like Fleetwash. PSI is okay, but so is AAA. I would go on price between the two of them.

Whats the general opinion of Alkota equipment.

Jim is "Silver Eagle" is out of the running?

What flow and pressure are you in the market for?

With a minimal constraints budget Landa, the rest in descending order.........

Tie (MiT-M, Shark)
Hydrotek,
Tie (Hosty, Delco RK models)
Tie (Hydro Max, Alkota, Simpson),
Pressure Pro

I've decided against Silver Eagle, simply because I want to run 2 machines at once. Makes more sense to me to have 2 separate machines, that way if 1 breaks down, I still have 1 to work with. With the Silver Eagle machine that fit my specs, if it went down, the crew was down, possibly for the evening. Cost works out to be about the same; Silver Eagle trailer package I put together compared to 2 Hydrotek 8GPM, 3500PSI machines with the same extras. I'm leaning towards Hydrotek at this point.
Add to that I have received more negative feedback about Silver Eagle than I have positive, from those I have known to trust from this board and elsewhere.

Thanks to all for their suggestions and feedback. I respect and appreciate all the help you all have provided. Looking forward to reading more feedback/suggestions.

Fleetwash is putting together a price for my tomorrow. He (Martin) already flashed retail price at me. I'm not paying retail price. Every price Fleetwash has quoted me has been over the top. About 6 months ago, they had a 24" Steel Eagle on the floor, wanted just under $950.00 + tax for it. And it looked pretty new, but I could definitely tell it had been used. Bought one online, brand new, 3 bar for $789.00 shipped.

PSI put a good quote together for me for the Hydrotek set-up. I will have AAA do a quote for a Alkota set-up.

Thanks Scott for the suggestions and feedback. If I'm going to do this, I'm going to do it right and successfully.

Just to let you know. We have 2 hydroteks 8gpm that we paid 6500 for each brand new. If you are interested IM me so I can get you the info.

The 29HP vanguard 8.7gpm(SCU35009VAF)?

Two units on hydrotek trailer like cartoon attached or on your own trailer similar to JD's or Robert's setup. Either way sounds nice.

Was that the dublein spinner Jim at the $789 price? I am in the market for either a great surface spinner or new premium swivels. Let me know.

I have always heard great things about the Alkota machines, a local dealer sells a lot of them to the oil rigs and those guys work them all the time and they have told me that those machines are very dependable.

I have an Alkota rig.....purchased my rig used and the hr meter does not work....not really sure how many hrs are on it now but it works great and I do not have any probs with it. I have a Alkota 5355 and another cold water Alkota unit on the back of my rig. One has a general pump and the other an AR pump.
Great product!!!
