Blowed Up QC

What Chris? Are you just saying the cheap ones are good enough? I think chinese steel beats American brass. I did have a stainless chinese plug that actually started to leak through the flats on the side, I mean it leaked through the steel! Maybe using high quality on parts that could blow up and kill or maim is a good policy and could make a difference in liability? I think parker stuff is not very expensive?

I haven given this alot of thought and figured that over the last 8 or so years I have a combined 40k-50k hours of run time on all of our high pressure equipment not including rigs that I have leased out to other companies, and this is the first time that a QC has had a catastrophic failure, so given those parameters this seems to just be a fluke occurrence. But I still stand by the ISO9001 level of quality, as a benchmark, it is certainly more then just a frivolous issue, it does hold a bit of power in the industrial world. Many companies will not even consider purchases from a non ISO facility.

I've seen stainless QC nipples blown apart several times !!
never a socket..
Buy American made every chance you get !!
Keep our dollars at home ! Eh?
