Building my new Rig!

Still not sold on hose reels. Figure eight wind down the length of the trailer, preserves the wire integrity, easy to pull, easy to put up. No parts to go bad, no leaks, no rusted frames. Just my take on them.

I agree with you Mike. I've only had problems with hose reels. I coil the hose by hand after each job. I have 2 100 foot sections so it's not so bad. Actually I can coil a 100 foot section faster then I could reel it in. I have hangers inside the trailer to hang the coils of hose.

Yeah I told him I wanted a nice big RING I think he misunderstood because he got a nice big RIG!!!!! lol

Think of it this way, with a nice big rig, the ring will come.

this reminds me! the vice on the wheel well is a great idea. i was kickin myself the other day when a hose blew and i couldnt get a grip on it because the threads were rusted up! busted my knuckles twice.

Don't buy the cheap one at harbor freight( little red one).....spend a little extra for a good vise. I have busted 2 of the cheap ones this yr. Another tip add a faucet on your supply line / tank to wash your hands....Those are two big add'ons on a rig I like......

Do you run the garden hose (lower left reel) to the house water supply back to the trailer and then use the red hose from the trailer to water down the landscape? Or how do you use the 2 lower reels? Thanks, looks like a well thought rig.

My old rig was 16' and I was going to go to a 14' or 12' but decided to stick with the 16' because that is what I have been used to and it is better to have extra room than not enough room. As far as filling up both machines with gas it isn't too much trouble as long as the gas station isn't too busy because I have to swith sides every time.

What size trailer is that? Looking at building a trailer soon. Do you find it hard to fill up with gas and fuel with units on both side of the trailers? Why such large chem tanks?

I use the two lower reels to fill up my water supply tank to keep up with the 2 8gpm machines runing at the same time. I just use my pressure washer with low pressure tip to water down landscaping.

Yep it's NICE having that vise on the fender makes my life eaiser. I just bought that vise for this rig from sears (craftsman) it just broke yesterday what a piece of junk! I ordered one from Northern Tool a its a Wilton I have heard nothing but good things about this brand so we will see how it holds up.

Well I'm not holding my breath for a ring but at least he lowered the hose reels so I can wind up my own high pressure hose so at least he was thinking of me!! lol. I love our new trailer its easy to use and everything is in a convenient place for easy use.
