Chem Injectors

I have used all the above but prefer to downstream, just personal preference when House Washing or Building Washing.

Buy the X-jet and give it a try as there are lots of opinions about everything and it will always end up being what you like, not what other people like.

With the downstream injector near the end of the hose with a 30', 50', 100' hose or with an X-Jet you will be moving buckets or containers around the house or building and there will always be the chance of the bucket tipping over whether you trip over it, the hose snags it or whatever.

With the X-jet you can run a good length of chemical hose so you have longer reach before moving the bucket too much.

Give them all a try and see what you like as that is only what really matters in the end.

You cant go wrong with the super suds sucker pulls great with lots of hose and down size the orifice if you really need a strong mix.

Never have tried the "suds sucker" yet, I do downsize my injector to a 3-5 gpm if I need to put more than 150' of hose. I have an x-jet and very rarely use it. To me it was just too much trouble hauling a bucket around when all I needed to haul was the hose. Only time I ever use the x jet is when I need to cover a large area fast with super strong det. and that is very rarely!

Also if downsizing the injector causes you to lose pressure, its because you are losing gpm with that injector! It does come in handly to downsize it though when a long hose is needed or a stronger mix that a correctly sized injector will give.

Maybe an x-jet is in my future. What about the M-jet Good or bad?
sorry I ment to say M-Jet same thing just adjustable. We use closed containers for the bucket and use about 35 ft of suction hose. No tripping over buckets. We use this same system to shoot acids on historic work as well.

nice jab Ron. I'm good to go with what works for me. it's not for everyone.
Don't take it personal , the king uses them and laughs at my water cannons. With electric injectors I'll bet I can clean a structure faster and better.

I was looking at the electrics set ups. Not sure it will happen any time soon. May not even need to. Glad to see someone is using 35' of feed tube. I picked up 20' today and wondered if that would be an issue.

You can run a whole lot more chemical hose than 35' with an X-Jet, a whole lot more.

I seriously doubt that the original poster of this thread ( Patrick) has the type of accounts that you have to justify that type of setup. Overkill for resi's IMO. ....and I agree, it's likely to be able to clean faster maybe even better. I was stating what works best for ME as I originally stated and others as well. If that is your go to method, more power to ya. Cannon's , DSers Xjet whatever gets the job done and works best for the man holding the wand is what matters after all right? for the rcord i don't take what you say personally, I know you are passionate about this biz and being better at everything related.

Oh yeah forgot to mention this method as well.
Patrick, you can also use a DSer and only a ball valve.
Cleans just as well.
People are learning to do alot more these days with alot less, without breaking the bank imo.

Any of these methods are much better than the scrubbing that you pm'd me about.

The more restrictions you have on your hose the LESS chems your downstreamer will draw. If you want more chems pulled use the lease hose possible, no ball valves, no elbows, a high flow gun, let the chem do its work (dwell time), etc. You will be surprised at how much more soap you can pull. You can also make your mix stronger to suit the job. I believe the most important thing is to get familiar with your equipment and try different methods. I've cleaned some nasty stuff and don't have issues anymore after learning what my setup can do.

Nope. Only a fool would draw out of a bucket Ron. I use an enclosed pail on a two wheeler and shoot through a trigger assembly without a lance. I prefer that to DS. If the 2 wheeler gets turned over I simply pick it up and move on, with no spills.
Never tripped on a bucket.

Plenty of threads on the two over the years. Just my preference. It doesn't make me wrong or you right. It's all about preference to the user I.M.O.
This is what I used. Suction tube built in with fitting in the bung.

I got the Super Suds Sucker. Draws better than the hi-draw..... I also just had a Chemical cart built from a hard truck. Battery box, hose brackets and extended the foot plate for the bucket to sit in. just painted it with hercules truck bed liner.... Waiting for it to dry to assemble... Oh yea... "pump in box " from bob with a fatboy gun. I decided to have this since I don't do roofs and have needed something faster to apply strong chems on really nasty concrete or well water stained driveways. I hate pump sprayers...... although they are a necessity. i just like the idea of having a chem spray cart at my disposal. I tried my xjet...which is handy.. but I wanted something with a little more control to apply chems.. ( less overspray/mist )... And I hate he bucket.... walk, pull and spray this way.

I have never had problems with my injectors, get electric if you have too. Carrying buckets around the work place just seem not good. Especially when you have employees

Ron, what electric pump, batter size (amps) what length of hose and what tip. Will the the X or m jet draw at 50% to cut down the amount of chemical mix used on different jobs? Just trying to get an idea of which way to go with new set up.

I don't see that steel nozzle holding up to chemicals. That thing looks like something for spraying trees lower volume an higher pressures.

Here is the Chemical cart I finished up yesterday morning!

http://youtu.be/9Mwi3JKQe38

I did two driveways at 45 year old houses that were heavily shaded by Florida Live Oaks. And a 28 year old pool deck (original coating ) that was screen in and heavily shaded. All of the surfaces were black. I DS'd let dwell and we ran the surface cleaners.... Rinsed and broke out the cart to apply SH to the remaining mold. If I didn't have this cart... I'd have been there for hours with a pump sprayer to get rid of the remaining mold spores.
I think I may add a swivel to the hose.

Hey Matt. Did you use straight SH, 50/50 or some ratio? I run across the black spores on a lot of driveways. I usually spray straight SH through Hi draw injector. It works, but takes a while for dwell time. Sometimes it takes two or three applications. I've got a 5850 pump, box and hose, so I might as well put it to good use. How is that cart in terms of taking it in and out of the truck or trailer?

I used straight yesterday. I will
Play around with the formula to cut it down. I pay $1.69 for 11% so I'm not to worried. Except it will lay out a lot of chem in a short time. I put it in my trailer (open) and ratchet it to the back gate. Not hard at all to get it in and out. It's nice to have. I had a few bad concrete surfaces in the past months that I was having to hit the black spots with a pump sprayer after or break out the x-jet. I just don't like the overspray/mist of the x-jet abd having to worry about rerinsing turf or ornamentals. This spray is much easier to control.
