do they make a 8 gpm + pump to bolt to a Gx390?

A 13 horse GX390 is too small of an engine to run 8 gpm.

You can definitely run 8gpm on a 13hp. Great for house washing, wood resto, and just about everything. I don't what kind of pressure a surface cleaner needs though so it might not be ideal for that

With 13hp you will be at 1,800psi. This is on the low side for concrete cleaning but with a burner capable of 8gpm you can get by. I have used this same setup before. 8gpm is great for rinsing.

The biggest direct drive is the RKV5.5G40, a 5.5 gpm pump. For 8 gpm, you can go to a XWA-M8G35 with a gearbox. It'd be a great rinse gun but not so much for surface cleaning with 1500 - 1800 psi.

Looks like I stand corrected. I thought it would not be worth hooking to a 13 hp. I learned something new today.

We recently bought an 8.5gpm 300 psi unit from Russ at Southside and we love it. As they have said the high GPM is great for rinsing.... So do you need the higher PSI ? If not, than go for the gearbox pump assembly Russ mentioned.

Gear or belt drive will work with a 13 hp just fine. Like mentioned great for homes and rinsing even trucks but not enough pressure for good concrete cleaning.

My portable back-up is 13hp@5.5gpms with a Comet gear drive. I get about 2500 psi and it's plenty to run a sc with the proper tips. (This machine started life as a HD direct drive unit about 11 years ago. I only use it occasionally, but it always starts on the first pull.)

Russ, I am looking to upgrade from my 3.6gpm karcher pump and was wondering if a 5.5 would fit my needs. As for now I am doing mostly residential and I have a 16" whisper wash ultra SC. If I went with the 5.5 what kind of pressure would I be putting out and would I have to change nozzles on my SC?

How much is that 5.5 Russ?

Thanks Russ. I'm guessing that this is on the low end for my 16" SC?

You'll have plenty of water, but the pressure may be lacking for a good cleaning.

4.5, 5, and 5.5 gpm, rated 4,000 psi max are $391.77 plus shipping.
