do they make a 8 gpm + pump to bolt to a Gx390?

I'm wrestling with this issue myself; my 4gpm AR stopped pushing water yesterday. I'm researching a new unit, or a new pump, who knows. I bought this 390gx about 5 years ago and use it once a week -- so approx 250 uses to date. I'm not mechanical, so rebuilding it myself isn't an option. Is there a market for the old pump should I purchase a new one?

I mostly wash houses pre-paint, but occasionally wash roofs and a driveway or two. Don't want to lose too much psi, but at the same time want to rinse houses more quickly. Perhaps a 5.5? Can I install the new one myself?

You could send the pump to me for rebuilding, or you could just get a new pump. If you want decent flow and pressure, I'd go with a 5 gpm and run 2500 psi. AR makes a direct drive 5 gpm, as well as a 5.5.

A direct drive is not hard to install.

OK, I will borrow a wrench and get right on it. I'm a hack! Where's the duct tape?

How much is the rebuild? (parts included)

Worst case:
3 - Pistons
2 - Valve Kits
1 - Seal Kit
$321.96
1 Hour Labor
$70.00
Total - $391.96

ARRKV5G40, 5 GPM, 4,000 PSI - $391.77, not including an unloader.

Thanks... Let's hope this set up works for a good while!
