dual shurflo

it gets harder and harder to find the drive after a 10 hour day behind the wand
I hear Ya Russ ...
Seriously, Pressure Washing is hard work compared to roof cleaning.
You seem to "take to" roof cleaning, and I bet if you stick with it, and really go after it, it will become your work of choice.

For one thing, you seldom have to worry about the homeowner doing it himself.

I have actually seen several of my buddies who pressure clean lose jobs because the homeowner either bought, or rented a P/W and done it themselves.

That is not a concern in roof cleaning.

I like it here Russ, and plan to post some business tips soon to help beginning roof cleaners get started.

I just hooked up dual pumps for my portable sprayer. What a difference. I was having trouble with the pressure switch on my 2.1gpm 60psi pump, so I ordered another pump (shurflo 1.8gpm 60psi). I also ordered a new pressure switch for my old pump. This was all before i found this board and all the great info. Actually I think I ordered the shurflo about 2 days before I found out about the delevan. Its funny because after I started using the 2.1 gpm pump to do roofs, I swore I would never take a pump up sprayer on a roof again. Now that I have the dual set up I'll not want to go back to a single pump. When these bite the dust, I guess I'll buy one or two delevans. I have this sprayer set up so that I can place the intakes in my not so huge 35 gallon chemical tank, which is enough to do at least one roof. If I can't get my trailer close enough to the house I can just wheel the dolly around where ever I need it and pump out of a 5 gallon jug. This sprayer is also great for spraying stripper and brightener on decks. The battery and a small charger are mounted on the back so it can be easily charged after the job by just plugging it in when I put the trailer back in my garage.

Russ, I only do a 2 or 3 roofs a month. I have been using a single shurflo. Now I will be using dual pumps. I sure this will help me clean roofs a lot faster. There are a ton of dirty roofs, so with a little effort I could get a lot more roof jobs. Its just that I've been so busy washing houses and windows that I haven't had much time for marketing. You mentioned that you used to use dual shurflos, so I think the only difference is that mine are attached to a dolly. I can draw the chemical out of a larger tank on the trailer or draw from a 5 gallon container in case I can not get close enough with the truck and trailer.

Kevin, the other T is just used for flushing or priming.
